Has anyone had a life-changing or life-threatening event that made you appreciate your SO/spouse more?

what was it?

did you feel guilty for worrying/nagging about the little things before it happened?

how has it changed your relationship?

thanks.Has anyone had a life-changing or life-threatening event that made you appreciate your SO/spouse more?4 years ago my husband and I were in a very bad auto accident. He didn't have his seat belt on when someone pulled out in front of us on a highway and he hit the windshield. He had several broken bones, an extremely cut up face (he almost lost one ear) and a head injury. He spent 4 days in Intensive Care and 2 weeks in the Neurological Unit before he was transferred to the Rehabilitation Unit and then 2 months in outpatient therapies which included occupational and speech therapies as well as physical therapy.

Did I feel guilty?- not too much for nagging and griping at him except I am still a little PO'd that he didn't have his seat belt on. There isn't much you can do about things that went before. There were so many issues to deal with after the accident, I just stayed focused on what needed doing in the now. The situation was stressful enough without making it worse by beating myself up over things I couldn't change.

But I do appreciate that I still have him. And I appreciate more what we had before the accident. It certainly has changed our relationship. I am more in the role of caretaker with him, even now 4 years later when he is more or less back to himself. I try not to take our life together for granted these days.Has anyone had a life-changing or life-threatening event that made you appreciate your SO/spouse more?I dont know what you mean??Has anyone had a life-changing or life-threatening event that made you appreciate your SO/spouse more?i was in a car accident at the point in the relationship when it went bad, we would fight alot and argue for the smallest reasons. after i got out of the hospital i realized alot of things and started appreciating life and what i brought

we are still together and enjoying everyday like theres no tomorrowHas anyone had a life-changing or life-threatening event that made you appreciate your SO/spouse more?Yes. When my Mother passed away, my mentally abusive relationship with my then husband was beyond a piece of sh*t. It made be realize how precious life was, and how little time we actually have here on earth. I then summoned all the strength and courage I had, and left that relationship. It was the best thing I could have done for myself....I have since remarried and found true happiness.Has anyone had a life-changing or life-threatening event that made you appreciate your SO/spouse more? This isn't really an answer to your question but it makes me think of the movie %26quot;Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind%26quot;. In the movie, this couple has been together for a while and don't appreciate each other much anymore. They get into a fight, and the impulsive girlfriend decides to have her boyfriend erased from her memory. The boyfriend finds out and does the same thing, but during the process of reliving the earlier memories... he changes his mind. They end up finding each other and finding out how they got each other erased. It's really cute (:

The book doesn't really have a plot, but the way that David Levithan writes and what the story's purpose is... Always seem to inspire me. Name a life changing experience you have had

well i have to write a paper for school about a life changing experience so if you could give me a life changing experience you have had... and if you give me one i may write about it. so make sure you dont mind someone writing about it.Name a life changing experience you have hadEvery experience is life changing in someway or another. Smaller events make small changes in your live while larger more profound events can cause immeasurable changes. The most important thing is how it changes your life is up to you. You can choose to absorb the bad or good energies innate in experiences and really make them a part of your being.

Have you ever had a life-changing experience?

One that changed your life forever, and not for a couple of days? Maybe a near-death experience?

I'd love to hear your story!Have you ever had a life-changing experience?I have a very sad story that I heard last week. I took a valuable lesson from it.

Alright, so this is my parent's friend's friend. Confused? Great! Anyway, she was a Mother. She has a 15 year old daughter. FIFTEEN. The daughter had a swimming meet. The mom was supposed to be at work but she managed to go to the meet and see her daughter. The 15 year old swam her event, won it, and was exhausted afterwards. For a few minutes she rested on the edge of the pool to recover. But...she fainted and sunk to the bottom of the pool. The mother was watching this and screaming hysterically,as anyone would do. The daughter died right there. I don't know the official cause of death, but it could have been too much adrenaline caused the heart to fail.

A mother had to watch her healthy 15 year old daughter die.

I just turned 21. I'm a male virgin. I am a depressed, emotional wreck. I can't tell the one girl I have ever considered having a relationship with that I care about her because she is a good friend, and I am afraid of rejection. That awoke something inside of me. It could end any day for any of us.I realized I need change. I need to ask this girl out because it is the only thing that will make me happy.

So, I did. I told her everything I felt. I opened up myself to this girl. Now, we're going out. I feel like the happiest person to ever exist.

    I have learned two things:

    1. The only way to live a good life is to act on your emotions.

    2. Practice honesty, even if it is uncomfortable. It's a concept called radical honesty. People appreciate genuine people who are at peace with themselves.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?Going through the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?I spent a month working in West Africa a few years back. I was deeply moved by the poverty, yet pride, of the people there.

A lot of the 'houses' in the area I was in were just crumbling brick walls - most with no roofs at all. Yet at day break the women of the family would be outside sweeping the dirt outside of their place with makeshift brooms. They took pride in what they had.

As a 'Westerner' that really changed my outlook on life. I used to be very critical of our government, medical systems, etc... I used to always want more than what I had.

Now I am grateful for what I have. We wouldn't be human if we didn't want more, but now it isn't all I want. If my family and I are happy %26amp; healthly that is now much more important to me.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?I tried to kill myself while waiting on the streets like usual for a ride (This was actually my second attempt...first was with a mix of aspirin, sleeping pills, allergy pills, etc,). I ate two huge bottles of iron-fortified vitamins because I thought they would cause my liver to fail....that's what I read anyway. I prayed to God to let me live or die...whatever he wanted...I didn't care. I didn't even get sick. I felt under the weather for a few weeks and everything tasted like metal, but I didn't die and I realized that God wanted me to live. I haven't ever tried suicide since, and don't ever plan to again. This experience really changed my life because it made me believe that maybe there was a God out there who loved me and didn't want to see me dead on the streets somewhere. I've been trying to live my best ever since and take each day as it comes. I am also more faithful to my religion than ever and feel closer to God. So this experience definitely changed my life.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?when I was very young something happened to me that I told to my parents but they didn't believe me or maybe they didn't understand me or maybe they thought it didn't had much importance, I'm a girl and I met a guy who abused me emotionally and I lost lots of my fundamental feelings and thoughts, I lost my confidence and lots of my unconscious habits, then I thought if I'm going to live like this I better not even live, and I put all of my strength on it to change it, I start making a new human, and I did it. after that I became stronger than before, I learned that if you don't help yourself, there is no one to help you, then you better learn to take care of yourself, I learned how to use every single thing you find in your environment, or you see in other people, I learned how to run away from tricky situations, I found a new logic, a new way of thinking and making decisions, and lots of other things, but still, I can see the unconscious part of my brain injured, who knows maybe God helped me (as he did before) and I fixed that part too.

I wanted to run. I wanted at the same time to be married and get past the wedding part. I had quite a bit o time to think it thru. My husband and I talked for hours into the night for weeks untill we decided to do it.

Should I postpone a Nicotine screening for life insurance after smoking 2 cigarettes in 7 years?

I quit smoking in 2002 and indicated such information on a recent life insurance application. Last Saturday, I was at a wedding with a few old friends and had 2 cigarettes outside with them (which by the way, my mouth felt horrible the next day). Should I postpone changing life insurance? I am to test next week (it will have been 12 days).Should I postpone a Nicotine screening for life insurance after smoking 2 cigarettes in 7 years?i'm pretty sure you'll be ok.

it shouldn't show up after 12 days.Should I postpone a Nicotine screening for life insurance after smoking 2 cigarettes in 7 years?Nicotine generally hangs around the body for only a few days. Besides, you can always say you went back on 'the patch' for a few days because of some tough cravings. Good luck!Should I postpone a Nicotine screening for life insurance after smoking 2 cigarettes in 7 years?Don't postpone. Nicotine stays in your blood for 5-7 days. You will be find. Postponing life insurance isn't a good idea. Just give up the smoking period. It isn't worth getting back on it!

Why does it cost so much for a life changing things?

Do you know what i mean? If you have a problem with the way you look and are always being bullied by it and it makes your life a nightmare, why do they charge so much to fix the problem? How did WWI change life in Britain?

What could I include in an introduction to a project on 'how did WWI change life in Britain'? The sections of the whole project are:

    - D.O.R.A

    - Censorship/propaganda

    - Recruitment/conscription/conchies

    - Changing role for Women

    - Rationing

    - Increasing role of government

    - Change attitudes towards war

So may be I should include a bit about each of those but I don't want too much so that I repeat myself.

Also, what can I write about the changing role of the government - doesn't D.O.R.A really include that? How did WWI change life in Britain?WW1 changed the UK by making it a debtor nation to the USA for the first time, a situation that continued until the current US administration destroyed out economy by making our currency less than half as the Pound and the Euro. It also lessened the grip the British government by the %26quot;Upper%26quot; classes or Peerage which allowed labor unions to grow and the occasional labor government to rule.

I have several good friends who have been there for me - just a hug can sometimes be enough, and I have always been there for them and will be again.

My step-father for making my mother happy for 10 years before he died - and me. He was a lovely, gentle giant with a quick wit, who was more of a father to me than my real father ever was.

And I thank God with all my heart and with all my soul. Without him coming to pull me out of the miry pit, I would have been six feet under by now, without a doubt!Have you ever wanted to thank somebody for something so important and life changing that you didn't know how?I always found a simple 'thank you' was best for those situations.Have you ever wanted to thank somebody for something so important and life changing that you didn't know how?Well, your welcome, eg..., I had no idea the 50 points would mean that much to you.Have you ever wanted to thank somebody for something so important and life changing that you didn't know how?Yes, actually. I had a friend in high school who helped me through a very rough patch in my life. She's still a friend all these years later, and yet I have never really told her how much her simply being kind and understanding meant, and mean, to me. I sympathize with how hard it is to articulate such deep gratitude into mere words; words can be so clumsy and inadequate to the task.

Sometimes, a heartfelt %26quot;thank you%26quot; is sufficient, but if you have a close, personal bond with this person, then try telling them in detail. No matter how muddled you think your expression of thanks seems, they will undoubtedly be able to fill in the verbal gaps themselves, and intuit just how meaningful what you are trying to convey is to you.

It doesn't matter if what the act was may seem commonplace or expected of a good friend; the important thing is the effect it has had on your life, and you feeling the need to make your feelings known. I say, go for it. You'll both feel good for doing so. Maybe this will spur me on to finally take my own advice.

Name a movie about one life changing day or event that has the charachter re-examine and change thier life?

    MORE:

Wherein something happens that changes a person's whole outlook on life , their perception of reality- where the main charachter has profound personal growth.

And I agree %26quot;It's a Wonderful Life%26quot; with Jimmy Stewart is an all time great in those terms. Also consider these as possibilities of movies where the main character has profound personal growth. In no particular order:

My Life - Michael Keaton %26amp; Nicole Kidman

The Last Samarai - Tom Cruise, Ken Watanabe

Life or Something Like it - Angelina Jolie

Seven Years in Tibet - Brad Pitt, David Thewliss (bit of a slow life change rather than sudden)

Dances with Wolves - Kevin Costner (again more of a slow change)

The Matrix - in a weird sci fi kind of way

Fight Club - Brad Pitt %26amp; Edward Norton - pretty violent though and perhaps a bit nihilistic for what you want.

And in a bizarre sort of way even Pretty Woman could fit that theme.

    Good luck.

Have you ever read a book that was a life-changing experience?

%26quot;To Kill A Mockingbird%26quot; by Harper Lee. It has a lesson about bigotry through an autobiographical tale of a young girl in the south during the 1930s. It is both entertaining and touching to see how Scout and her brother Jem learn lessons from their father, Atticus, from watching his actions in public. The movie is good but the book is excellent. Ms. Lee won a Pulitzer Prize for the work and it used to be part of literature in schools. It is my belief that the lesson is no longer considered %26quot;politically correct%26quot; in today's culture but IMO it is a timeless classic.

Having grown up in a small town in the center of the US, I never knew much about the bigotry before I read the book. When I moved to a city I was able to see people for their attributes rather than their race. Hating a whole group of any people just takes too much effort.Have you ever read a book that was a life-changing experience?the alchemist

also, A Child Called It - which most people have heard of. Its a heartbreaking story, but an intriguing read all the same. Good luck on your search :)Have you ever read a book that was a life-changing experience?Yes.

    The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

It has made me more positive and optimistic. It taught me how to welcome each day as a blessing. It teaches me to be more sensitive to my surroundings. I taught me a great deal about life. It taught me that I should believe in my dreams because they are going to be true. Here's one of my fave quotes from the book: %26quot;If you want something, the whole universe conspires in order for you to achieve it.%26quot; Thus the subtitle of the book, A Fable About Following Your Dream.

    The Little Prince

    by Antoine Marie de Saint-Exupery

Its a really light book but very meaty with lessons and simple profound truths of life. It taught me to fight for what I have been fighting for since long ago- resist being an adult (you see I don't understand adults). The book teaches me to be childlike.

These books are really inspiring and are worth-reading.Have you ever read a book that was a life-changing experience?Besides the %26quot;Holy Bible.%26quot; I would say a book called %26quot;The Richest Man in Babylon.%26quot; It is a book on success, and how to achieve success. (I'm a Auto Wholesaler, so I know alot of rich people.) It completely changed my way of thinking about money and how I go about my career and becoming successful. I have read the book 7 times, and bought it 13 times, but for some reason it keeps getting stolen from me. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND everyone read this book. %26quot;The Richest Man in Babylon.%26quot;Have you ever read a book that was a life-changing experience?Yes, The River Runs Salt, Runs Sweet by Jasmina Dervisevic Cesic. It is the autobiography of a young woman in Bosnia who as a teenager is falling in love for the first time when her country starts to break up and the Yugoslav army turns against its own people. She suffers terrible, appalling losses during the next years, and yet she comes out of her ordeal as an optimist who still believes in the essential goodness of people. She is also an amazing example of someone who goes through hell and comes out on the other side saying, %26quot;Well, how do I still have a good life after all that has happened to me?%26quot; She is my hero. Any time I feel down about my life, I think of Jasmina. If she can be optimistic and appreciate the good things in life, surely I can, too!Have you ever read a book that was a life-changing experience?walk two moons.

Have you ever read a life changing book? What is it?You sound like a determined person. I would say that I have read one of those so-hard-to-find books. It was called Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul. There are other books like Chicken Soup for the Mothers Soul and all that good stuff.Have you ever read a life changing book? What is it?Tuesday's with Morrie. It taught me not to take life for granted and that each chapter was something that i should hold close to my heart before my time on Earth was done. It taught me so many things and I'm always thinking about it.Have you ever read a life changing book? What is it?new moon by stephenie meyer. appriciate what you have, it could be gone in no time at all.Have you ever read a life changing book? What is it?well I have read and watched the movie friend green tomatoes. Which is a book about friends who stick together through everything. They never tlk about one another they always trust each other. and in the end they prove that true friendship can stick out through anything good or bad.Have you ever read a life changing book? What is it?It depends on what you consider a life changing book. The books that have changed my perspective on life most were Night by Eli Weisel and Revenge of the Whale by Nathaniel Philbrick. Both of those are really sad, but that is what I find to make a powerful book.

Another genre of books, makes for a new set of life changing books. The following books didn't really change who I am or how I think, but they were the best books that i have ever read in my life. The Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer! Those were the best books I have ever read in my life.

If you are older and more interested in more sophisticated essays and such that I strongly suggest getting the complete workd of E.B. White. In my opinion he is the best writer of all time. He could write for all sorts of people. Young, old, rich, poor.

I would also reccomend the Law Of Attraction. Now necessarily because it is a good book, but it certainly is an interesting theory. Actually if I were you I would just look up the Law Of Attraction, because its the theory that is good, not the book.Have you ever read a life changing book? What is it?I think the poem %26quot;IF%26quot; by Rudyard Kipling, %26quot;Markings%26quot; by Dag Hammarskj枚ld and %26quot;The Prophet%26quot; by Kahlil Gibran are nice to meditate on. I have to admit, not all of the above inspired me the first time I read them. I continually have to go back to The Prophet to get a taste for that.

    Oh and I have never read it but I hear Seven Story Mountain (Thomas Merton) is a great book.Have you ever read a life changing book? What is it?The Bible is definitely my life-changing book. %26quot;For God loved the world so much that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but live eternally.%26quot;

I have many life changing things I want to do. I need to quit smoking, loose 50 lbs, and quit taking Effexor?

I have several things I need to do and am not sure which order or the best way to do it. I need to do the following

    Loose 50 lbs

    Quit smoking

    Quit taking Effexor.

I am not sure in which order I should do this. I KNOW quiting Effexor will be a long process. I have done this before and it took months. (Like 6)

For quiting smoking, I will be doing it cold turkey. I will not be using any of the quit smoking aids. (for financial reasons)

Does anyone have any advice for me as to the order I should work on this.

Thanks so much!!I have many life changing things I want to do. I need to quit smoking, loose 50 lbs, and quit taking Effexor?go for losing weight first of all, maybe being a fitness fanatic will help you quit one of the other two, whatever you do, make sure you take medical advice first and do it safely

best of luck xxxxI have many life changing things I want to do. I need to quit smoking, loose 50 lbs, and quit taking Effexor?well, i don't know what effexor is, but DEFINITELY quit smoking first. quitting smoking can be associated with weight gain, so if you lose weight THEN quit smoking, you'll be backpeddling. so quit smoking, then lose weight. good luck!I have many life changing things I want to do. I need to quit smoking, loose 50 lbs, and quit taking Effexor?Luckily I never had to deal with quitting smoking and effexor. I have heard that quitting smoking can add weight, so I would conquer the smoking first and maybe next the effexor and then the weight.

Anyways the real reason I answered was to wish you the best of luck, with your challenge. Say motivated and you can do it !!I have many life changing things I want to do. I need to quit smoking, loose 50 lbs, and quit taking Effexor?quit smokin' that will help u lose 5olbs. and wtf is effexor?I have many life changing things I want to do. I need to quit smoking, loose 50 lbs, and quit taking Effexor?I'm proud of you for all of it....I smoke and drink -- me, bad person, huh??? NOT!! Anyway, DO NOT go off the Effoxor first -- stay on it...it may help you through all of it. I lost 70 lbs. by weight watchers (not going to meetings -- just recipes that were great) -- hanng in there.....if you need any other help, you may email me but I have not gotten to the point of no smokes or beer (and I lost weight with both in my life -- safely) --I have many life changing things I want to do. I need to quit smoking, loose 50 lbs, and quit taking Effexor?I have never smoked and hate the smell especially now that I have leukemia, no body smokes in my truck or house.

I would quit smoking 1st, then start a change in what you eat, drink lots of water and walk like there is no tomorrow. Diet sodas are not really that low in calories, try to cut out all sugars and starches, don't eat after 6:00 in the evening, eat a good breakfast, cut out red meat. When you drink water with a meal it helps you food digest better. Good luck?I have many life changing things I want to do. I need to quit smoking, loose 50 lbs, and quit taking Effexor?I'd go with quitting smoking first. Once you're comfortable, get off the Efexor. I was taking quite a high dose and it only took me a couple of months to get off. The side effects sucked, but I was done pretty quick. Then start going to the gym, etc. Actually, you could do the weight loss and Efexor at the same time b/c it might boost your want to go to the gym. Good luck.I have many life changing things I want to do. I need to quit smoking, loose 50 lbs, and quit taking Effexor?I hope you aren't going for all three at once!!

    I'd put the Effexor last.

First I'd go with smoking as it has such devastating effects on your health and skin. To get over the craze, take up some physical activity (other than eating or alcohol). Try walking, go to the mall, walk the dog, walk around the park, and when at home, knit, do something with your hands.....stay on the computer.

With increased physical activity you are already working on #2, the weight. Cut out all white things...bread, sugar, wheat, white rice and see how it goes. Might be a good way to ease into a weight reduction program.

Once you've kicked smoking and your weight starts coming off, I'm willing to bet the need for Effexor will diminish. Physical exercise releases endorphins which will make you feel better, blows out the cobwebs in your brain so you think better too.

Good luck!I have many life changing things I want to do. I need to quit smoking, loose 50 lbs, and quit taking Effexor?I would say that you should quit smoking first. Before you do it, get a good vitamin B complex and take it for two weeks. That will help your body to go through the withdrawl and destress you. If you find a B complex specific for stress then that's even better.

I'm also including a link for some helpful hints on ways to quit naturally.I have many life changing things I want to do. I need to quit smoking, loose 50 lbs, and quit taking Effexor?I would not quit Effexor unless the doctor said your depression is better. By trying to establish better eating habits and weaning yourself from the addiction to nicotine, your setting your body up to scream at you anyway. Effexor will establish a more level playing field, and lastly, you can then wean yourself off of them.

Nicotine is the hardest; it is similar to cocaine, grabs you quickly and won't let go. When you try to quit, the brain has been told you will supply it with a drug, so it starts rebelling. If you don't use a patch, you must make a list of what to do when you want/use a cigarette, and do that instead. Call a friend, take a walk, anything to get the focus off of %26quot;I need a smoke.%26quot; Remember, it truly is an addiction, so don't beat yourself up over having a hard time quitting. Just do it, and you can even use a 12 step program...substituting the word nicotine for alcohol, etc. Surround yourself with people and things to do. If you smoke while drinking coffee, find something else to do with your mouth and hands at that time. Change rooms, tables, etc. If you have a smoke after sex, what else can you do instead? Cuddle a few minutes longer? You can see what I'm saying. Don't just quit...plan how to quit. the patch would be best, but you CAN do it without the patch, it is just harder.

As to diet, think %26quot;a new way of eating.%26quot; Don't do fads, and dont try to do it too fast. Have snacks, healthy ones, found on the web. Use these in place of cigarettes, also. You may gain a few pounds when you stop smoking, but don't give up. You will lose those pounds after awhile. They didn't come on overnight and they won't drop off overnight. Patience is the key to everything you want to do, but hey, what better time to start then today! At 50, you can be hooked on cigarettes, overweight ready for a heart attack, or healthy..just by doing it one day at a time. And if you slip, tomorrow is a new day. Be good to yourself and you will win!!! SuccessI have many life changing things I want to do. I need to quit smoking, loose 50 lbs, and quit taking Effexor?I don't know what Effexor is... some sort of drug ? anyway I am trying to do the very same thing you want to do except for Effexor.. I tried to give up smoking and lose weight at the same time... BIG MISTAKE ! very very hard .. so I decided to give up the smoking first now I'm working on the weight. I find when you stop smoking you put on weight because you replace the smokes with food ... so keep that in mind .I have many life changing things I want to do. I need to quit smoking, loose 50 lbs, and quit taking Effexor?Weight and smoking at the same time. A good way to help you with the smoking is to ask an oncologist to show you a MRI that shows how cancer spreads through the body. I saw tumors throughout my best friend's body. I thought %26quot;Idiot! That is what could happen to you because you smoke! I walked out of the hospital, threw away my cigarettes and have not smoked since! It did not hurt that when I went to my car I walked by the designated smoking area and I saw people smoking through holes in their throat! If that is not enough to make you quit, how about watching my friend who was only 40 die from lung cancer?

Just make sure you quit so you are not the inspiration for someone to quit. My friend just thought he had a smokers cough. For a while you will have to change your habits. Throw away all smoking accessories. Do not allow smoking in your home or car.

For the weight, try eating small amounts 6 times a day. (One time may be an orange) Make sure you find an exercise that you enjoy. Start with walking and swimming they are low impact and you can increase time and length of walks and swims.

Buy an outfit that you LOVE (Or a Bikini) (With the money you save from not buying cigarettes!) but buy it two sizes too small. Put a hook on the wall and hang it as close to the refrigerator as you can. This is a great incentive.

never shop when you are hungry! Some people like to have support of others so they join weight watchers or Nutra-System. They portion the meals for you. And you can chat with others who are going through the same thing you are.

Also promise yourself you will buy yourself something you really want (Like an I-Pod or diamond earrings after you quit and lose weight for an entire year. If you smoke 1 pack a day at $3.00 a pack, you would save $1,095.00 in just one year! If you smoke more than that you could take a cruise! So you can see you will easily save enough money to give yourself a reward.

I do not know about the drug you take.

    Good Luck!

PS you will be shocked at how much better your food tastes, and how much better you smell (No Offense)!

  • Why should people who have made life changing mistakes be given the money of people who did not make the same-

mistakes? Is it fair that the government uses our tax dollars to give to a person who has had a child in a unstable relationship? Shouldn't we just take the child out of such a terrible existence? After all, it is not the childrens' fault their parents mad bad decisions.

Is it fair that the government uses our tax dollars to support people who, because they dropped out of school, can't support themselves? Why should the stable citizens take responsibility for the unstable citizens? After all, it is not their fault someone chose to quit school at 16, get wasted on God knows what, and then realize they can live off of the hard work of others. Why should people who have made life changing mistakes be given the money of people who did not make the same-Some broad generalizations there........Do people only drop out of school because they're high on who knows what? I dropped out in my jr year as I was bored doing work that simple %26amp; wanted to earn some $$ working fulltime. Went on to obtain BA degree.

I agree w your precept, but other issues at work here. One is kids being graduated who still lack some core skills....but that'a NOT a money issue. Part parental involvement, student accountability, %26amp; courage to hold back when needed at schools.

I'm what many would consider a liberal Dem, %26amp; I am liberal on some issues. This is one of my conservative stands......if a family/woman is on an assistance program they are expected to refrain from bringing another child into the world until self sustaining. I can here some howling it's their right to have children, which I would dispute while on the public's payroll.

Of course people make their own choices, %26amp; if another child was born while on assistance the govt woukd require insertion of a norplant or termination of benefits,

Public assitance is intended as a short term solution. It has become a way of life too frequently. Similar problem w unemployment benefits in many (not all) cases. I have personally known two individuals who lost their job through irresponsible choices %26amp; filed for benefits.

In both cases they chose to ride out the %26quot;free $$%26quot; using the logic

I bring home $385 a week when I work, unemployment pays me $310 for staying at home!!%26quot; I argued what about pride, taking advantage.....both chose to take benefits for the full six months allowed. This in a community w less than 4% unemployment.

Who's really stupid in this mess? Us the taxpayers, %26amp; of course the(evil) business owner through higher unemployment taxes.(but then profit is greed I hear lately) So I guess this is good as the business is not supposed to havetoo much profit....

The govt has plenty of money is the common response. Yeah our money, all of ours! That's the belief tho.....

Helping those in need is the point of my rant....I am blessed to be able to donate to a number of charities , spend a day a week having kids read to me (K %26amp; 1st grade) Sponsor at least two shadow students to spend the day at my office to learn. The reference earlier to helping folks instead of politicians pockets is more cynical than my view, but shows my point. Allow the people to provide direct assistance without going thru our bloated inefficient (some places) govt agency which sucks 20-30% of the funds away to pay for administration. I would never advocate separating families, in fact one of the problems now is the system encourages the man to be absent or benefits are reduced. Why should people who have made life changing mistakes be given the money of people who did not make the same-My degree is govt %26amp; politics %26amp; I had some liberal professors, but the concepts of our gove were clear. Govt is intended to do what we can't as individuals...defense,roads,sc?take care of their own.

Why should people who have made life changing mistakes be given the money of people who did not make the same-It's the liberals vs. conservatives all over again. I agree in principle with what you say. However, I also believe that those in need should be given an opportunity to make something of themselves. And, in that respect, some short term aid may be in line. Why should people who have made life changing mistakes be given the money of people who did not make the same-Democrats LOVE irresponsibility, they woudl not exist otherwise. Why should people who have made life changing mistakes be given the money of people who did not make the same-sometimes, it is really hard for people to support themselves and a child, even with an education. Should a mother and child be punished because the dead beat father left and cleaned out their bank accounts before he did... there are so many scenarios that you are choosing not to look at and as a tax payer, it doesn't bother me to see that my money is actually going to help people, rather than into politicians pockets. I think that you are very closedminded and that you should open your eyes and look at the situation in it's entirety rather than judging everybody else. If it were up to people like you, children who's parents work but can't afford that extra 300 a month insurance premium so participate in programs like Kid's care of acchs would be denied health care... you talk about taking the children out of a terrible existance... who are you to say that their existance is terrible... maybe money isn't the source of all happiness and just because they get some government assistance, it doesn't mean that they don't come from a loving and emotionally supportive family. And that is so much more important than money. Only 13 percent of people who get government assistance are nonworking... the rest work and work hard, it's just really expensive to raise a child now days. And a child is not a mistake, they are blessings.

Taking care of a child has a lot more to it than just financial responsibility... maybe you should have a child and then you will truly understand what I am talking about... there are tons of children who have parents who are financially stable and are neglected beyond belief... I work in social work and child psychiatry and I see the damage caused by this on a daily basis. 117 clients that are seen in the office I work at are adolescents and come from financially independant families. Which is why I put much more emphasis on caring than finances. If a child is being neglected than I do think they should be removed from the home... and money and government assistance has absolutely nothing to do with it.Why should people who have made life changing mistakes be given the money of people who did not make the same-The government isn't about %26quot;fairness%26quot;--our government is about keeping incumbents in office...how do they do that? They promise stuff to people...right now they're promising %26quot;free%26quot; healthcare in the near future...who's going to pay for %26quot;free%26quot; healthcare? Taxpayers, that's who...you want fair, vote the bums out.Why should people who have made life changing mistakes be given the money of people who did not make the same-1: because its every citizens right to ensure the safety and well being of every other citizen...unless your a jerk

2: because many times it isnt their fault they are less fortunate, i myself was born into poverty and when your parents were sending you to college, i was being the good person i am and working to raise my sick, unemployed parents.

3: because if less fortunate people didnt have help.....we would just rob more people like you.Why should people who have made life changing mistakes be given the money of people who did not make the same-Well, you obviously have not read the laws regarding welfare, child care, or job training. You have also obviously not read the statistics on homeless persons, the majority of whom are not on drugs or alcohol, have families, and actually work. However, if a person is not able to earn more than the minimum wage, they are living on $1256.67 per month BEFORE TAXES. I don't know about your area, but in Colorado, that will not pay for rent and buy groceries for a family of two.

As for taking children from their parents, there is a constitutional fundamental right for parents to enjoy the care, custody, and control of their children. Studies also show that the happiest and most productive citizens are raised by their parents, not by a foster care or adoptive system that is overwhelmed with children who actually need help.

Get off your high horse. If you want to get people off your tax dollar, be a mentor to a young person who wants to better themselves, offer job training to people who are unemployed, volunteer to train young mothers and fathers how to raise their children, volunteer with the police force to patrol your neighborhood, volunteer in the schools to read to small children and be a class grandfather, make your workplace child friendly so that your employees know that they don't have to chose between their children and their employment. LOOK FOR WAYS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, NOT JUST GRIPE ABOUT IT!

    Is a judgement,or a life-changing decision,based on racism justified???

Recently,i was fired from a job in a country. My employer didn`t give a reason for his decision and i was quite surprised by this unexpected move of his.I had been an %26quot;honest and hard working employee with a great passion for work%26quot; was written on a letter i recieved a few days after i was fired.Do bosses fire people for that reason?Or was i fired because of my white colour, since all my collegues were coloured.I was comfortable with them, and was on quite friendly terms with some as well.So is the reason for my expulsion concerned with racist thinking,or is that just my suspicion.I really cant make up my mind.Is a judgement,or a life-changing decision, based on racism justified???I would ask the man who fired you.

That simple. Is a judgement,or a life-changing decision, based on racism justified???good question. sadly you will probably never know the answer and i'm afraid reverse racism isn't going to fly. i know how you feel-sorda. i couldn't get a job in San Antonio, Texas because i couldn't speak spanish. what a pisser. you'll find a much better job where people appreciate you. i'm not sure it's polite or acceptable to use the word %26quot;coloured%26quot; after 1969. we're all coloured. Is a judgement,or a life-changing decision, based on racism justified???If you're in a white-dominant country, you couldn't have been fired for racism. Racism is a social structure that benefits the dominant race. You may have been a victim of prejudice, but that's pretty unlikely. More likely something entirely different.

Important life changing question, need reliable information/facts/opinions?

    I dont know if I'm just tripping out but I have the most life-changing question. Out of my immediate family, my father, mother, sister and I all have similar features, even though my parents are not related at all. We all have similar facial/body figures:big noses, big forheads, and small ears. And every cousin I have looks very similar to their siblings. Is this just a genetics or a coincidence or does this mean my family are very closely related to monkeys :S? Like are there people who are more closely related and are decendents of monkeys? Is there such thing or am i just tripping out ? =SImportant life changing question, need reliable information/facts/opinions?That phenomenon, which is not a rare thing, is called anthropomorphism, by adaptative mechanisms, in non genetic related families, all the members of the group, if living together during a liferime (and children since early childhood after birth), will %26quot;adapt%26quot; morphologically themselves, to the morphlogy of non biological parents or siblings.}

A lot of debate has arose from this issue in the past 2 years, because the mechanism od the physical (sometimes extreme and uncanny) resemblance, is still put to the test, and some of the mechanisms that explain this undeniable phenomenon, are not still very clear.

The only thing that can be said for sure, is that this is a REAL phenomenon, (perhaps an adaptative mechanism of the human race in adverse conditions), that can explain the whole issue.

The curious example in middle east, and Latin America, is that, the color of the skin of child adopted from bith, DO CHANGE, when later compared with true biological siblings, tending to resemble more or less that one of the adopting parents....... every solution brings new problems and questions...By the way (sorry to dissapoint You), this phenomenon has nothing to do, with man being closely related to monkeys, or any relation with simian evolution, as far as I know....Important life changing question, need reliable information/facts/opinions?You are no closer to monkeys than anybody else. There probably just isn't much variation in the phenotypes of your parents.Important life changing question, need reliable information/facts/opinions?You are just tripping out!Important life changing question, need reliable information/facts/opinions?You can not be any closer to monkeys than anyone else. In his book %26quot;The Ancestor's Tale%26quot; Dawkins postulated how close ancestors have to be to be able to mate and have fertile offspring, I think he suggested about 200,000 years. Our common ancestor with the monkey lived about 15 million years ago, and with apes about 7 million years ago. Our chromosomes have been drifting apart for that many years, so the chances of you being closely related are impossible. There would have to have been serious inbreeding to maintain those chromosomes as monkey-like enough to retain the looks, while still taking on the evolutionary advances in intelligence etc.

So, in short, it is coincidence. If your parents come from the same area of the world originally, perhaps they have a common descendant a few generations ago, not enough to qualify as consanguinity, but with some features carried through. Do a family tree to find out, if you can.

And find a partner who lives in a different part of the country, just to be sure.Important life changing question, need reliable information/facts/opinions?Your family is no more closely related to apes, than mine. Individual physical characteristics result from genetic recombination, which happens during meiosis, a special type of cell division that occurs during formation of sperm and egg cells and give them the correct number of chromosomes. Each cell contributes one half of their chromosomes which result in the total number in the nucleus of the zygote of 46. Twenty three from each parent.

Assortment takes place for each of the 23 pairs of human chromosomes. So any single human egg receives one of two possiblee chromosomes 23 times and the total number of different possibl chromosome combinations is over 8 million. (2 raised to the 23rd power) And that's just for the eggs. The same random assortment goes on as each sperm cell is made. Thus, when a sperm fertilizes an egg, the resulting zygote contains a combinations of genes arranged in an order that has never occurred before, and will never occur again.

  • What has been the most life-changing experience you've ever had? My best friend passed away 2 months ago....?

    As for me:

My best friend passed away 2 months ago, and after her death, i am totally a new person.

I forswore everything she used to hate, I began focusing on studies and every day in my dream, i see her , i do feel her........

Omg, i just can't talk about any more. ( i miss you Jannet.......)(-_-)What has been the most life-changing experience you've ever had? My best friend passed away 2 months ago....?I lost my mother a little less than a year ago and it has changed me a lot but more-so for the better. I took a moment to grieve and go through my emotonal highs %26amp; lows. After- all I came out a stronger person, more motivated to accomplish my own goals. Basically there is more of an adult side to me; something more practical in my personality. I've always been intelligent and mature but I have more persistence and perseverance now. I am definitely one of the toughest people I know. Tough but caring and sensitive. What has been the most life-changing experience you've ever had? My best friend passed away 2 months ago....?My friend passed away in 2004. She was the closet thing to me. It was very devastating. The last time I saw her was on a respirator. I I thought I was going to go crazy after that. Now it's been five years since she's been gone and I still think about her and miss her often. Especially when I am upset. I feel like she was the best person I could talk to and now I don't really have anyone to talk to, like I could talk with her. I know that I will see her again one day, and I can't wait. What has been the most life-changing experience you've ever had? My best friend passed away 2 months ago....?The single most life changing event in my life so far was the birth of my first child. When you have someone who wholly depends on your existence, who could not otherwise survive, any responsible parent's life will drastically change forever.

Previous to that, i'd have to say being in combat in the Middle East. Seeing what war is really like first hand, really put life's little annoyances into perspective. The little things people here moan and complain about, no ice in your coke from Burger King, etc, how pathetically idiotic it is to complain about such petty things.

Can you make my life-changing decision for me please?

I am 18 years old and am having a few years off before attending university. I work in many volunteer positions but am now looking for paid employment. I have been offered a job that comes with free board and training as well as a good wage and a very likely chance to progress through the company as it grows. The only problem is that the job is in a different city. The company is offering to pay to fly me up and it is only a 6 hours drive away from where I live currently so I could travel back some weekends to visit. I'm scared because I have never lived anywhere else than my current city but If I stay here the job I am likely to find is not going to be anywhere near as good as the job I have been offered in this different city..... Opinions? Can you make my life-changing decision for me please? You are still a teenager and what you have to look for is to get good training to improve your skills in your chosen profession. Your progress and destiny vastly depends upon your skills, dedication and leadership qualities. Place of work is not important at this stage. You cannot think of settling down at one place in the present day world where you have global opportunities. Risk taking abilities, self motivation and world wide vision will help you to achieve great success in your career. All the best.... Go ahead....Can you make my life-changing decision for me please?i think you should go you can't just stay at home all you life

Is that distant city %26quot;Fort Dix%26quot;?

You should be aware that you won't be in that city forever - and that while foreign travel seems exotic and exciting, an improvised explosive device is a little more excitement than most of us are capable of finding enjoyable.

Maybe it's not the military you're talking about - but if a company is willing to fly an 18-year-old to a distant city, a six hour drive away, it's because they can't find enough 18-year-olds in that city dumb enough to take the job. Their theory is that once you're there, you *have* to keep working with them, because you won't be able to find anything else. Can you make my life-changing decision for me please?you have already answered your own question you said that you would never find a job near as good as this one you have been offered so what are you waiting for go for it,it will be an experience if anythingCan you make my life-changing decision for me please?I will give you my opinion and then you will ultimately need to make the decision. This opinion is based on my experience in this same situation.

I grew up in the same city/town all my life. I am married and my husband grew up there too. All our family is there.

My husband was offered a job 3,000 miles away (so it wasn't a small drive to go back home - more like a day trip on an airplane). However, in looking at the offer he was made, and the advancement he could possibly achieve versus where he was working at the time - we took the leap of faith and did it. It was the best decision we ever made. In less than 1 year, my husband doubled his salary, is an invaluable employee (as invaluable as any you can be - I say that in a way to be on the cautious side - because everyone can be replaced).

So, those are my thoughts. I do miss my friends, family, etc. but call them on the weekends when my cell minutes are free and I kept my original cell phone number from the town I grew up in so my friends and family could call me without it costing them anything because I have nationwide coverage.

We do visit back home as often as possible because my husband sometimes has to travel there on business and I go with him and it only costs my plane ticket because his expenses are paid through the company.

Hope this helps. Good luck! Can you make my life-changing decision for me please? If you are really a career oriented person, then you better visit the other city and get the job. There you will meet different people and the atmosphere as well as the environment will be different for you and trust me these changes will not only make you strong but will make you capable of coping with the unexpected hurdles of life.

Take it as a challenge and go for it. one more thing,,,, no matter what, you better get your degree sooner or later because that peace of paper will help you alot in the future and while studying you will get good theory.

All the best dearCan you make my life-changing decision for me please?Go for it. You will always regret it if you don't and think of it as a missed opportunity.

Give yourself six months or so and you can move back if you are unhappy.

There are many long weekends like Labor Day that you can return to your previous haunts.

    Your friends can visit you.

You will meet new people, make friends and have a new life.

Good luckCan you make my life-changing decision for me please?well i am into meditation for a long time now and i can tell you that the only decisions that shall truly keep you happy for life are the ones that really sets your heart at peace, so i could only suggest that you first ask yourself what are the things that really gave you joy as a kid and you sould take up jobs in along only those lines no matter how low paying or unpromising right now and gain experiance and expertise over the years in only that line n do not get distracted ,eventully you shall not only be successful and well established but also truly happy .because if you are into a work that you enjoy than your joy becomes contagious n success comes naturally. Can you make my life-changing decision for me please?check this link its good

Spiritually speaking: when was the last time you made a life changing decision?

    Two week ago.

It all began when I arrived in Japan for a business trip. With a friend, I visited Yoyogi park and met a group of Rockabillies (dancers) and we wanted a picture with them after they had finished performing. One of the guys I was with that spoke a little Japanese went up to him and asked politely if we could take a picture. I think the guy thought that my friend was going to touch his hair so out of nowhere he shoved my friend down about 3 concrete stairs! At this point, me and the 2 other guys I was with jumped in and started yelling at the dude, asking him why he did that. We went back and forth with him for a couple minutes while my friend recovered from falling down the stairs. Then all the other members of his posse started approaching us and pulling out switchblades from their back pockets! By this time there is a huge crowd around and once we saw that they had knives we started yelling even louder asking them what the hell their problem was. One of the dudes in the back started piping up pretty loudly and it was clear that he spoke English so I asked him to calm down. That didn't seem to work so finally I got in one little fight and my mom got scared and said you're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air. I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said fresh and there was dice in the mirror, if anything I could say that this cab was rare but I though nah forget it yo home to bel air. I pulled up to a house about seven or eight and I yelled to the cabbie yo homes smell ya later.Spiritually speaking: when was the last time you made a life changing decision?About a year and 3 months ago.

We can go do one thing or go do something else. Say you decide to go to a movie theater one night instead of staying home and watching one you rented earlier or already owned. On the way home from the theater, you hit a deer with your car and your leg is severed. A severed leg will change your life in many ways. Even sitting here right now instead of going and doing something else is potentially a life changing decision.Spiritually speaking: when was the last time you made a life changing decision?I made a potentially life changing one about 45 minutes ago.

My freind wants me to move back to the mountains (which I love) to run a pot dispensary for him. I already gave that part of my life up, and don't really want to go back to the drug world. It is not a reqirement that I go back to smoking pot, to sell it, but I just don't see how I can be involved at all, since I think that God doesn't like it. Not a major core change but it is a change in whether or not I have a job , whether I get to keep livivng indoors or go back to homeless

    I'm looking for a life-changing church retreat/camp?

I'm fifteen years old, and I need to work on my faith. I want to find a good retreat/life changing camp- any season of the year to go to. Anywhere in the US, and with a group of teens. I always go to summer church camps and work camps and such, but I would like a Jesus based camp/retreat during the year to help me find myself.

    HELP PLEASE!!

:]I'm looking for a life-changing church retreat/camp?If you want something life changing, voluntary to help out in some kind of charity or missionary work.I'm looking for a life-changing church retreat/camp?Check with the pastor or youth pastor of your local church who might have some information for you or resources where you can get that information. If not from your own church, then try churches in your area that share your doctrines and tenets of faith. If you don't attend a church regularly, this is a time to vistit area churches. You will need a bible-based church and pray that you will be lead to one that has active youth programs.

Not sure of the area where you live. There are many short-term events you could attend like speaking engagements, workshops, conventions and concerts geared towards your age group. Usually at those type of events there is information available on other Christian events, camps, etc.

    Example:

CCM Magazine tour schedule (conferences, tours, speakers, etc.)

YWAM and Campus Crusades for Christ have a lot of information online and offer opportunities for short-term missionary work (from 1 to 3 weeks) for youths and students during the summer vacation months. As one member suggested, you might also try volunteer work.

I have two great kids and now we have an appointment tomorrow to term the pregnancy. We talked about th pros and the cons and still have not came up to a answer, it has nothing to do with money at all. it was unexpected and we are right on track on where we want to be and then we just found out today, We are very pro choice, please no hurt full advise, we really would like something goodI need some support with a very life changing desicison?don't have an abortion

well you won't be able to once you see it on the screen ...I need some support with a very life changing desicison? Why can't you just adopt out, instead of kill it?I need some support with a very life changing desicison?I would say that if your baby is going to suffer unecessarily from a disease from being born then I wouldn't quite make the baby suffer. If your baby is fine then I don't see anything bad about pro-choice, people have their own reasons for their choice, if you can manage another child somehow then be prepared.

    please answer mine

http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/indI need some support with a very life changing desicison?god don't make mistakes we do, am pro choice , but i come to understand god as his ways of making us look another way %26amp; and believe me i was right were you are 11 years ago and god showed me how much he wanted me to have his blessing, and with all my heart and tears this little person changed me for the better and there's a light he gives off %26amp;every were we go people all kinds just take to him. so ask your self %26amp; family do you give back all your gifts from god? no judging good luck.I need some support with a very life changing desicison?I will tell you that I am pro choice and I feel that you should do what you and your family has decided is right for you and not what quilt or others will tell you to do. I understand not wanting to start over again with a new baby I would be debating the same things you are if I were in your situation. I also understand that you could give the child up for adoption but that has it's drawbacks also. Being a mother you know how attached you become after months of pregnancy and I don't feel that I would be able to give it up after that even if it were for the best. But also there are people unable to have children that would love the opportunity you have. I wish I had the answers for you but all I have is hope that all works out well for you and yours!!I need some support with a very life changing desicison?I have always believed children shouldn't pay for mistakes/crimes committed by parents, especially during a time when they can not defend themselves. If your question is about the termination of a pregnancy well i think it should only get to that if continuing with such pregnancy puts the life of both or any of the two (mother %26amp; Child) in danger.I need some support with a very life changing desicison? The decision is ultimately yours but is this child going to alter your life that much and when you planned how many children you where having was more an option. You could never tell who or what a child may turn out be unless you provide him the opportunity live. But also it is important make sure you and your spouse is happy and I my self am pro responsibility it is your responsibility to do what is right for you.I need some support with a very life changing desicison?i'm 100% pro choice. with that said, i want you to know that i think tomorrow is too soon. please take the time to really think about this decision. you may feel ok about it now, but in time you could really regret it. think it out, talk about how both of you feel today and how you will feel after the abortion. if you decide that abortion is the right decision for your family, move forward. if there is even an ounce of %26quot;not sure%26quot; don't do it.

i truly understand why adoption isn't an option given your family circumstances - how would you answer all the questions?

bottom line: you know yourself better than anyone. make the right decision for you after thoughtful consideration. follow your heart. good luck - i feel for you. I need some support with a very life changing desicison? You say it has nothing to do with money, you have two kids and you are married with your life on track. Obviously I am not in your situation but I don't understand why you need to make this decision anyway? I am pro-choice, so I would never give you crap about this decision. However, although I have never had an abortion, I have heard stories that it can cause a lot of emotional havoc on a woman afterwards. I would imagine that with two kids already, the emotional pain for your afterwards would hurt you for a long time. A lot of pregnancies are unplanned, and if you can afford it, why not just enjoy your new addition?I need some support with a very life changing desicison?please pray on this one and ask for guidence. i know that money is hard but what about adoption. i am not trying to be mean so please dont take it that way. i am just want u to think about it and pray about it will work out. what ever you decide its up to you but there are some women who wish they could have children. i say adoption or keep the baby but its not my place its yours. good luckI need some support with a very life changing desicison?I understand your dilemma. I am also pro choice. however abortion is not my choice. I have never had an abortion, I had my son at 17 after my mom told me to term the pregnancy. I refused and have lived a very grown up hard life. I learned later she had terminated a pregnancy before my sister and i were born. It hurt me very much. I wondered if I would have a big brother now. I realize today that it was her choice and she just wanted to be ready. However I have had a few friends and my sister that chose that road. I was there to support all of them. I do know that it is a very hard decision. The friends that have gone through this all seem to regret their choice in one way or another. All the what would have or could have beens do get to most. My very best friend still mourns the date 6 years later. Some would do it again, others would not.

-so be mindful of your ultimate decision. It will be something that stays with you for the rest of your life. How much would it truly offset your plans? What might it take to recover from this?

*Whatever you decide I hope it all works out. I need some support with a very life changing desicison? You are married! you made this child and now you have to raise it. I cant believe you are actually considering abortion! This is a life of another person(your own child) that you are planning to take away just because you don't want to inconvenience yourself. I cant believe you are actually considering killing your own child!!! If you didn't want to have anymore children why didn't you or your husband have an operation. If you ask me you are very selfish.I need some support with a very life changing desicison? You need to come up with a decision that you both are comfortable with, otherwise it will always be a part of your lives that you agree/disagree with.

When I was in a similar situation, I had 3 children with the youngest being 6 months old, it was an horrendous decision. Luckily mine was a false alrm. I also thought that maybe this was a gift. Good Luck in making your decision.I need some support with a very life changing desicison?Well lets start off with the time? do you have enough to spare for that little one growing inside you, will you give it your undivided attention, as you have with your current two children. Are you at a point in you life that having this baby would disrupt your work...can you work where you are pregnant. Could you love this baby as equally as your others. You have to realize that this is another major step in your family.....a growing family, and quite honestly you should have thought about this while now you have to figue this babies future path...to term, or not to term...if there is room in your family for your bundle of joy, then go for it. If you really want another thing to think about, then think about this, giving it up for adoption to a nice family whom cant have kids, if you cant support a child in africa or anything charity wise, then do a couple an honour and think about adoption, you know, I dont want horrible to you other than the state your already in, but I would either keep it and love it, or have it for a loving couple whom cant have kids. There are women out there right now crying on their pillows hoping that one day that adoption agency will call them and say they have a women whom is pregnant, and is in good health, and is willing to give up for adoption to you? Wouldnt you like to be that person on the other end waiting probablly for years to finally hear that....Hmmm, well you sleep on it, and whatever you decide will only be the choice YOU have to live with, and your family, and it honestly would be a great experience to give it up for adoption, especially to help teach your kids as well. Good luck and I hope nothing best the best for you both.I need some support with a very life changing desicison?Wow your nick name is Good Momma...so I bet I can guess what you will choose to do. I have three kids and I have to say that it has made me grow, stretch, and seek wisdom in a whole new way. I love that my middle child gets a chance to experience being a big brother AND a little brother. I love that the oldest is closer to the youngest in some ways. I love that the youngest loves the middle because they are closer in age and they play together more. The dynamics of a family of five are just really neat.

You will never regret keeping this child that is already a part of you and your family. Please if you say you are prochoice then don't even consider killing this baby. I can tell you adoption would be a much better option. I've seen the pain, regret, shame, and harm abortion can do first hand. You can never take the decision back.

I'm praying for you as you make a decision. I'm also praying for that precious baby who could be the next president, or amazing world changer someday. I need some support with a very life changing desicison?I think that should b the last decision to make,i swear u will be haunted by that baby crys all ur life ,i have meet ladies who have gone through that, please dear its a cute baby there ,en may bring happyness in your life, imagine that en be positive,.Just know there are millions of couple all over the world who are using much money to try and have kids for many yrs but they fail en you,God has given yu,so please do u have a good reason, like desease, infection, rape,i mean stop,.that one child aded in the family its a blessing en raising 3kids its not hards ,just one plate aded and God will provide for hime or a her, this world need him or her,.

I feel all the pain coz i lost a baby at 32 weeks i wish it did not happen as i waited so much ,so please change ur mind, but know we just give advice and it you to decide.

God BlessI need some support with a very life changing desicison?Hi,

I have come across this question completely by accident. I accidentally hit the pad on my laptop and ended up here. I don't believe in coincedences! I see no one has given an answer. I feel I landed here to give my opinion. That's all. HERE GOES: I feel that there are so many families and couples that desire a child and cannot have one of their own. They may be having difficulty adopting or finding a child that they feel is best suited for them. They may have spent tens of thousands of dollars trying, only to end up failing. That would be awful! Or how about those couples (women) who are suffering multiple miscarriages, and just want a family while the time is at hand and their heart is broken due to the losses! I even know of couples who adopt children and babies with extreme learning or physical difficulties and disabilities. You mention that you have already given birth, so, even though I am a man, I do know that the experience is quite extraordinary, and uncomfortable, to say the least I am sure. Since you HAVE given birth, possibly the fear that may be associated with a first time delivery is gone. The same fear that may cause a first time pregnant mother another justification to not give birth. With you I hope that is not the case. Speaking as if birthing may not be a fear for you, then I would be so brave as to suggest that you give birth to this baby and choose to let a waiting and wanting family adopt him/her. If after you give birth, you decide in your heart(s) that you want to keep the baby, I would create initial paperwork forms stating that it would be at your discretion in giving up the baby for adoption~You may never know if you are going to change your heart and want the child. Better to have paperwork supporting a change of heart, than not. There is waiting and wanting families that are so looking forward to a child of their own and whom are not able to have any. Think of how you could not only save a life (I believe that life already starts in the womb) but that you could give some couple, or family, a lifetime of happiness! I see no other way in which you could give such a gracious, wonderful, incredible selfless gift. It may be the biggest blessing gift you could EVER give ANYONE. Why not let it be you? I assure you, in the times ahead you will look back and be so thankful that you were able to create happiness for a couple who may be very unhappy. Unhappiness that you could change. Knowing that you were able to change the whole course of a few peoples lives in a way that you didn't plan for, and a way that only a situation like this could supply, should bring delight to your Spirit and soul. This could actually be the most important thing you ever do for someone else. Why decide differently?

Thank you for allowing me some time to speak my heart and mind. May God bless you in whatever choice that you decide, and may you have a safe and wonderful adventure called life with the family that you have and the future that awaits. Life is precious. Handle with care.

    Sincerely,

    JC

Has any answer given to you on this site been life changing?

People get on here and ask about some pretty huge problems...I was just wondering if anybody has ever been given an answer that has really made a difference.Has any answer given to you on this site been life changing?.

It is not any SINGLE answer which has changed my life ---- but my experience of being at Yahoo Answers has certainly contributed towards a positive change in my life.

I am basically an introvert of the worst type. It is difficult for people to approach me. I am a lecturer. When I have a free period, it is my habit to read a book in a corner most seat. I have NEVER made friends except two life time ones. People know me as a meek and shy person.

Yahoo Answers gave me a platform where I overcame my shyness

When I answered some questions and some were selected as BEST, it gave me confidence in myself. Being acknowledged on a world wide platform made me bold and I gradually learnt to express myself freely

Another change is that when I was approached for friendship by another Yahoo Answerer, I was reluctant at first. But soon I found myself accepting friends and also reaching out to make friends.

Since I am invisible and not exactly in the company of people and since my real identity is protected, it gives me the advantage of 榗ontrolling?the degree of friendship I wish to maintain and also in 榮hedding?some of my inhibitions.

I have learnt a lot here. I have been shocked, surprised and amused. This interactive site has helped to change my opinion about myself... and my personality

.Has any answer given to you on this site been life changing? No, but very helpfulHas any answer given to you on this site been life changing?no but some have been helpful, some comical, some stupid but overall entertaining or I would not be on it.Has any answer given to you on this site been life changing?I don't know about life changing but I have seen some really good answers that can be helpful.

That being said I've also seen some horrible answers and have seen people be attacked for no reason. I fear that those bad and nasty answers leave a bigger impact than the good ones.Has any answer given to you on this site been life changing?no. I don't get good answers even though I'm answering many questions in a detailed manner.Has any answer given to you on this site been life changing? No but I have learned a few things.Has any answer given to you on this site been life changing?Yes. I have gotten best answers many times and was told my answer helped a LOT - I have made a difference.

Some of those ppl I talk with on IM or via email now.Has any answer given to you on this site been life changing? Some have challenged me in how to better phrase my answers, some have challenged me as to how I truly believe in a matter. Some have reminded me just how set we do get in our thoughts and ways and that I need to re-evaluate. None have changed my faith in Jesus Christ - as nothing can or will - it's based on truth and nothing should change our values based on truth. Some of the Q%26amp;A's have opened my eyes to some of the more serious problems our young people face and feel very isolated about. Some have confirmed my suspicions of just how sexually vile our nation has become. They have caused me to change how I pray for our nation and its people and how I might be a better witness without turning people off from Jesus, but to challenge them to even consider him - as many seem to think him the enemy without ever having given him a chance. It has broadened my understanding of America and what people feel and think about the myraid of issues we are faced with. So, even though it may not seem like a difference has been made in my life personally, as I truly ponder this question, I realize it has made a difference and that is good, becasue anything that challenges me to grow and mature and to gain more knowledge and understanding that I can better serve the Lord is always a good thing. By the way - this was an excellent question!
