I need help with a major life changing event.?

I have decided that I want to go back to school for website development and was wondering what the best school would be for that? I don't care if it is online or a campus. I live in Roseville, Michigan and don't have any plans to leave just yet. I was thinking about going to Kaplan University online.I need help with a major life changing event.?Honestly - you could probably learn this yourself without enrolling in a course. Most courses in this subject (and I teach them) are basic and out of date. Unless your tutor is a professional web designer (actually makes websites that are paid for) I would not pay for it.

Check with the schools you are thinking about and ask questions about the teacher of the course, find out if there is any placement opportunities / co-op / intern work where you get actual experience, rather than just being taught how to use an application.

Key topics are HTML, Javascript, CSS, Flash.

What is the most life changing anime that you've ever watched?

like the most inspiring story or a slice of life anime that has a ton of wisdom and life lessons to itWhat is the most life changing anime that you've ever watched?I really like those types of animes...

I don't know just one... many of the ones that I watch just have something little in it -so I really can't pick one...

here are a few I檝e seen...

-Tsubasa Chronicles

-D.N. Angel

-Ouran High School Host Club

-xxxHolic

-Fruits Basket

-Lunar Ledgend Tsukihime

-The girl who leapt through time

-Origin: Spirits Of The Past

-5 centimeters per second

but in summary of all the things that I檝e learned from the animes I檝e watched and some other things that have contributed to it, it's basically---

Although nothing lasts forever, and as much as you don't want anything to change, you've got to accept that it can and will change, however, that doesn't mean that you can't live life to that fullest, do as much as you can, while you can and still have fun. Don't care what others think of you because that will only slow you down [whether that's cosplaying at school or shops -when there is no convention on for another few months- or just acting really stupid with your friends, in front of a whole crowd] --just have funWhat is the most life changing anime that you've ever watched?Rurouni Kenshin. I practically worship Kenshin; he is so wise. The character taught me so, so much.

Some of my favourites:

%26gt;%26quot;New eras don't come about because of swords, they're created by the people who wield them.%26quot; - Something that every %26quot;politician%26quot; should realise.

%26gt;%26quot;The true answer comes not by fighting but by living your life, as you atone for your sins.%26quot; - He didn't kill himself and be a coward; he lived his life with the burden of his sins.

%26gt;Then there was something about how being strong and being right is not the same. Just because you win, that doesn't mean you're right. And just because you're right in a certain era, the same thing isn't necessarily right for the next era.

They may seem childish, but I watched this when I was not quite a child, and not quite an adult. This was the most positive influence I had, LOL.What is the most life changing anime that you've ever watched?Mahoromatic.

Understand that we all have a time/life limit, so you need to do the most with the time that you have, as we do not have the luxury of knowing when the end may comeWhat is the most life changing anime that you've ever watched?Clannad ~After Story~, Full Moon o Sagashite, and Haruhi Suzumiya. What is the most life changing anime that you've ever watched?Myself;Yourself.Because I learned that friendship last forever even if you've been gone for 5 years

So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision?

how do you know when you make a decision if it is the right oneSo im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision? There are few basic principles/rules of life and everyone knows them..for example... drugs r not good....people try to make decisions based on their convenience....like they will still do drugs and when it comes to making a decision they will convince themselves by thinking %26quot;oh what if try once..its no harm...i also have right to try or experience new things%26quot; In their subconscious they no that its not right but they just make decision based on what they want to do..no matter if its right or wrong..so follow your subconscious....one more way....just think that if someone else whom u love a lot is in the same situation as u r and asking u for help to decide..... what would u tell them?

Good luck!!

PS: even after doing this if u r not able to decide then email me your choices..I will try to give the honest opinion.. :-)So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision?depends on what the big decision is!?

so what is it??!So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision?cavey, sometimes you never know. if it works out all right, then you probably did.So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision? You dont. Do what feels right. You`ll have to wait and see.So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision? When you have that unexplainable gut feeling about it.So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision?Ya gotta weigh out the facts. Gather all the pros and cons, and then make your decision. So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision? You Might not know, sometimes for a Long Time...!!So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision? If its what YOU want. Then that's the right decision for YOU. The outcomes might be bad, hurt people or even disappoint you to an extent. But if you Made it, then its done and if that;'s what you wanted, and what you chose then that;s the right choice.

Trust your instincts. You rule your life. So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision?after you see the result of the decision.

sometimes takes a long time.

scary but your heart should tell you something,

just don't leave out your brain. So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision?Do what you think is best... you never really know whats the best decision, just have to go by your instincts I guess... Good luck though. So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision?if its the right one you'll never notice because everything is going great so you won't even bother to notice. if its the wrong decision well you know its wrong when it goes wrong. So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision?by knowing that that is what you wanna do and you have thought it through and you are going to stick with it no matter what. and if yo believe in God then pray and have peace with him (im a Christian). So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision? You never really know, its all about stepping out in faith, and believeing in the decision you are making.

If you have really thought it thru, and feel led to make that decision, then do it. Life is all about chances...and we are supposed to take them.

If it feels right, go for it. If it was wrong, you can always try to fix things...

Good Luck, and Hope this helps. So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision?wow ow! congrats!! n_n ?*thenks* i thenk, that in my own life, i always know what i reallay want deep down in my heart. i want to be happy, i want to be with the people i love, i want to do things that make me happy. so, if im doin soemthin, an its not makin me happy, an it doesnt seem to be leading anywhere where i will be happy soon, i try to change it. i just dropped out of college to o to beauty school. cause i realized, im miserable here, im absolutlee miserable living with my abusive parents. so i want to move somewhere where the sun always shines liek my dream, an i wan be weth my girlfriend who i love. and so im gona become a hairdresser rigth now indtead of waiting for later!! then ill take college courses in cali for my art, after i have a job. 'cause theres no reason to rush thru learning art now, when i cen do it after im happy.

life is liek a banquet!!! ur served a plate, an soem things u have to deal with, an other things u can drop on the floor for the doggy! an if u dont feel liek eating the whole sunday before u eat the cherry, then just try all the good parts first!! cause ur eyes are bigger than ur stomach, so fill it up weth all the gud thengs before u get full!! the same for life!! theres no time to be miserable!!! follow ur dreams n_n ?So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision?Well, you never know for sure. You just have to go for it if it feels right. We were given the chance to move from San Diego where we were born and raised to Tennessee. If we made this move we would be able to afford a home but we had to move far away from friends and family......This was a huge decision and we just didn't know what to do so we prayed for a sign..........One Sunday as we were leaving for church we found a piece from the Monopoly game.......the Tennessee card......we decided that that was our sign and we did it! We moved far from home. Look for a sign....Good luck with your decision. So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision? You don't....So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision?you don't...u just have to follow your heart, and take a leap of faith...So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision?wisdom and prayerSo im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision? If I change directions, gravity takes me down...So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision?Oh I know what you are thinking, buddy. You are thinking of joining the committee to help George Bush settle in during his retirement, right? Help plan and build his library, avoid the public eye except when people want him for public speaking. In other words, you are now his biggest fan.

Or did I miss something?

Well, back to your original question. I never know for sure. But I do examine a list, perhaps mental or in writing. Pros and cons. Then I think and/or pray about it. I try to see if I do not do it, will I possibly have regrets later in life. I am tired f kicking myself in the butt over regrets.

Then I make my choice. Hope I helped. So im on the verge of making a huge life changing decision?you can feel it. Our feelings are our guidance system.

How did innovation and reform during the Renaissance&the other are detailed, change life in Europe?

FULL QUESTION : How did innovation and reform during the Renaissance, Reformation, and the Scientific Revolution change life in Europe ?

This is for my schoool projcet DUE ! O512O9 %26amp; IM STUCK D:

this is a biigg part of my grade. Please help me ,

ORDER it by Paragraph by paragraph , or something .

Thankyou !How did innovation and reform during the Renaissance%26amp;the other are detailed, change life in Europe?the Renaissance was a cultural movement that spanned roughly the 14th to the 17th century, beginning in Italy in the Late Middle Ages and later spreading to the rest of Europe. the term is also used more loosely to refer to the historic era, but since the changes of the Renaissance were not uniform across Europe, this is a general use of the term.

as a cultural movement, it encompassed a rebellion of learning based on classical sources, the development of linear perspective in painting, and gradual but widespread educational reform. traditionally, this intellectual transformation has resulted in the Renaissance being viewed as a bridge between the Middle Ages and the Modern era. although the Renaissance saw revolutions in many intellectual pursuits, as well as social and political upheaval, it is perhaps best known for its artistic developments and the contributions of such polymaths as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, who inspired the term %26quot;Renaissance man%26quot;.

there is a general, but not unchallenged, consensus that the Renaissance began in Tuscany in the 14th century. various theories have been proposed to account for its origins and characteristics, focusing on a variety of factors including the social and civic peculiarities of Florence at the time; its political structure; the patronage of its dominant family, the Medici; and the migration of Greek scholars and texts to Italy following the Fall of Constantinople at the hands of the Ottoman Turks.

the Renaissance has a long and complex historiography, and there has been much debate among historians as to the usefulness of Renaissance as a term and as a historical delineation. some have called into question whether the Renaissance was a cultural %26quot;advance%26quot; from the Middle Ages, instead seeing it as a period of pessimism and nostalgia for the classical age, while others have instead focused on the continuity between the two eras. indeed, some have called for an end to the use of the term, which they see as a product of presentism, the use of history to validate and glorify modern ideals. the word Renaissance has also been used to describe other historical and cultural movements, such as the Carolingian Renaissance and the Renaissance of the 12th century. How did innovation and reform during the Renaissance%26amp;the other are detailed, change life in Europe? Why did you wait till the last minute to start this? Have you even done *any* background research on the subject?

And you want total strangers to suddenly jump on this and do it all *for* you? From scratch? What's today's date? You don't respect any of us out here in Y!A-Land, do you?

Organize your thinking by organizing your research. Make columns. List the innovations and the reforms. Note what dates or decades each of them came about in.

Then note in the next column what social, political, etc, changes were the results of each item in the first column.

Proceed with your project from there.

And start earlier next time. It's really unfair to expect total strangers to do any research *for* you. Why should we spend more time than you do on getting you a good grade? How did innovation and reform during the Renaissance%26amp;the other are detailed, change life in Europe?I'll give you basics since I don't have much time.. sorry

Renaissance highlighted individualism and classicism. Classicism coming from the study of ancient texts of ancient greeks and romans. People who studied the classical texts and stressed individualism were called humanists. Humanists who studied the classical works focused on more secular views stressing own individualistic desires. Moreover the church was losing it's prestige. For example. Lorenzo Valla in his work Donation Of Constantinople proved that the pope forged a document. Politically, there were new monarchs who followed the theory of Machiavelli which can be illustrated in his book Prince which they believed that they had to be ruthless if it meant in order to put their best interests on the state.

    Reformation:

as I was saying, the church was declining.

So a new revolutionary individual called Martin Luther started the Reformation. Appalled by the selling of indulgences of the church and all the corruptions of the church, he posted his 95 these on the church doors of Wittenburg Germany. Then other protestant groups such as the Calvinists began to form. Then there was a counter reformation to undo the Reformation where a distinct individuals called Jesuits fought to Christianize the lands that became Protestants.

In France Calvinists were called Huguenots.

In England, they were called Puritans.

    Scientific Rev:

    New way of thinking emerged.

People began to depend on science to prove subjects.

People began to believe that things in the world functioned in an orderly manner with one set of rules.

Salons ran by prestigious women were the place of scientific discussions where famous philosophes such as Voltaire came to debate and discuss. Other Philosophes such as John Locke spread his ideals of people having right to revolt which he stated in his book 2nd Treatise of Government. Other philosophes were Montagne and Rousseau

If i have gone thru some life changing experiences lately and kinda lost sight in myself and who i am, is?

there any way i can go back to being positive like i used to be, and happy, and confident with myself?

I had alot happen to me, and i used to naturally be energetic and love talking to people. I hit an all time low, and eventually got to the point where i would just be like, eh what the hell does it matter if i talk to them, to the point where im at now, which is i dont care to talk to anyone, and now i feel like i cant.

any suggestions? If i have gone thru some life changing experiences lately and kinda lost sight in myself and who i am, is?Absolutely there is. Everyone hits lows in their life. The older I get the more I realize that everyone has problems and life changing events. It is how we deal with them and get through them that defines who we are.

My unprofessional suggestions are to learn how to reconnect with yourself. Meditation of some form is essential to stay grounded. For me, exercise has been key. Everything looks a lot brighter after 30 minutes of cardio. Get your endorphins flowing again..

You may be interested in checking out some self-help type books. Try to remember what got you excited when you were younger, and engage in more adult versions of those activities. Put yourself in situations where you meet people who actually have the same interests as you. Notice when things give you chills, be aware of the happy things around you. You have to focus on what you want, not dwell on what you don't want.

Depending on how old you are, and what these experiences are, you may want to seek professional counseling. Its nice to get someone elses perspective on what you may be seeing as a problem, when its really not.If i have gone thru some life changing experiences lately and kinda lost sight in myself and who i am, is?Hey James, that's my name! lol anyway...

I'm a psychologist and I can help you if you want to. I can give you a test to rule out the usual items.

I prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?

I prayed and prayed and prayed for like ever for a change. Something major, that is really gonna change my life.

I just found out that I had three STDs. This isn't exactly the change I wanted.

But does this mean God is real because my prayer came true?

Also, can I just return it? Can I pray for him to take it back or give it to someone else? I really have no purpose for them...I prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?Sorry bout that ... I just realized there was a hole in my hat ...

Should I go get checked now ?I prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?Actually, I had meant to call you about that after my last physical...I prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?god gave you the same thing he gave mary. you should feel proud...I prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?You can't return gifts to the person who gave them to you! Have you no manners? :pI prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?if it is scientifcally answered then it isnt god..

    * Pray to God to levitate a car and hold it floating in the air for ten minutes. It will not happen, even if you are praying to levitate the car because a drunk driver has run over a college freshman and she is currently pinned under one of the wheels.

    * Pray to God to let you fly through the air like Superman. It will not happen, even if you are praying to fly like superman so that you can rise up to a tenth story window and save two children from their burning apartment.

    * Pray to God to fill your basement with $100 million in small unmarked bills. It will not happen, even if you plan to donate the $100 million that God gives you to a worthy and deserving charity.

    * Pray to God to restore the amputated limbs of a deserving, penitent believer. It will not happen, no matter how sincere you are in your prayer.I prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?Sorry but there is no return policy.I prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?Well yes, this is a blessing compared to the flood, plague and fires that he used in the past to kill people.I prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?its only a coincidence..I prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?Praying with your feet held in the air got you your STD' s. Now keep your feet on the floor and your knees together so you can keep that gift to yourself.I prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?YESSSSS!I prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?I keep praying everyday for someone to change my undies but NOOOO! God has his hands in someone else's pants!

Oh wait...I'm not even wearing any. I guess that means he has to exist right?

(((((((((((Courty)))))))))))) %26lt;3%26lt;3%26lt;3I prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?That's funny, I prayed not to get STDs but now I have 5. Does that mean God doesn't exist or he does and he absolutely hates me?I prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?I am a follower of Christ and this is what I have to say. God would never give something bad to you. He doesn't %26quot;punish%26quot; people like so many people says he does. The one person that would ever try to hurt you is Satin, and the prayer you sent to god has nothing to do with you getting those STDs. He would also never take them from you to %26quot;give%26quot; to someone else. That's terrible that you would want someone else to have that! If you pray for him to heal you, with all your heart and trusting in his abilities to heal you, you WILL be healed. So my answer to you, is god is real, but he hasn't answered your prayer yet. =)I prayed for something life changing, and I got it, does this mean God is real?!?!?!?no it means you sleep around too much so he punished you.

explain how within the crust helps support the concept of a constantly changing planet? and what do those changes in th crust do to change life on earth/ helppp! plzzExplain how within the crust helps support the concept of a constantly changing planet? The rock record is a record of repeated changes in the environment: If this was not a dynamic planet with constant change the rocks would be uniform and unchanging. This is not the case: We see sedimentary successions that were originally laid down horizontal tilted and contorted by tectonics, we see metamorphic rocks that could only have formed in the core of huge mountain chains exposed at the earth;s surface. We see shells from marine organisms in rocks forming the highest peaks of the Alps. These all represent changes in the environment and they are all related to the constant dance of the continents due to plate tectonics.Explain how within the crust helps support the concept of a constantly changing planet?I'm hungry for pie now.Explain how within the crust helps support the concept of a constantly changing planet?the crust floats on a mantle of molten rock, ever so slowly, the crust shifts and cracks, creating the ever changing tectonic processes of our planet.

The largest generation in the history of this nation should have produced an even larger number of children. Instead, we are worried about having enough money in the Social Security system to cover a few of our expenses when we retire because we made sure the numbers were not there. I am thoroughly ashamed that things got so out of control in this country. I could expect it to happen in other places, but surely not here.

I share the experience of Allen B. So many men in this country do. You say we have no heart for the women we would deny the free rule of their own bodies. Where is your heart for the innocent children who will never get to know that mother or father? Why would anyone capable of the least amount of compassion allow children to die for the sake of convenient last minute birth control? At the age of 28 I was at sea with the navy when I learned that my twin babies were aborted. I had no right to say a thing because I was just a man and it was not my body. I stayed with their mother for 13 years before we parted, and the most damaging thing I did to her was ride her for the death of my children. I deeply regret both of those incidences. The memory stayed hidden inside until the day that the only thing keeping it hidden was lost. I am 59 now and I am amazed that at the time I was defending my country, that country had moved to deny me the right to defend my own family.

What if I choose to start torturing cute little puppies to death? My dog just had puppies, and I am worried that I will have to take care of them. Would you care if I did to those puppies what they do to the fetuses? If you have pity and compassion for puppies but none for babies, then you have some serious priority problems.Anti-choicers: From where do you obtain the credentials that qualify you to make a life-changing decision for?pro-choicer: from where do you obtain the credential that qualify you to murder a human life without guilt or punishment? What gives you the credentials to re-define life? What gives you the gumption to attempt to erase naturally life-changing consequences for your life-changing decision?Anti-choicers: From where do you obtain the credentials that qualify you to make a life-changing decision for? This is an excellent question.

You could address it to %26quot;anti-lifers%26quot; and it would have exactly the same validity and logical soundness as it has right now.Anti-choicers: From where do you obtain the credentials that qualify you to make a life-changing decision for?I reject the label of anti-choicer. If this was a hangnail and not a baby, there wouldn't be any controversy.

The credentials are called morals. They promote people to do good. Maybe you're unfamiliar with them.

Abortion causes people to do bad things. Like murder live babies.

Edit: Allan your story is so sad. I'm so sorry that you had to experience that. I know that you can find peace, and I know that one day you will be reunited with that little spirit and you will be given the chance to raise him. He's your son.Anti-choicers: From where do you obtain the credentials that qualify you to make a life-changing decision for?it's a pyramid.

some choose for us while we choose for others and so on.

but choosing for ones self is one thing and choosing for others is a whole other.

as the person who does the choosing should have more knowledge in the field he's choosing in.

but it's a power given voluntarily by the individual and they CAN take it back if they suspect those choice aren't made in their best interest.Anti-choicers: From where do you obtain the credentials that qualify you to make a life-changing decision for?My son's life was ended in the 7th month of pregnancy the day after he first responded with kicks to his name. While I was at work he was killed without any input from me.

The pain of the loss never goes away. I have learned to live day to day with the pain, but still it never leaves. I feel that qualifies me to warn others about the pain that they will face.

    Also consider this: Planned Parenthood is doing the very thing that you are accusing us of but with the intent to kill the baby for the love of money.Anti-choicers: From where do you obtain the credentials that qualify you to make a life-changing decision for?If you go around having a sex rampage and you wind up pregnant, you should take some responsibility for your actions. If you'd rather not make your bed, then all I can say is %26quot;you're a sloth.%26quot;

Can anyone recommend any 'life changing' books? The sort that you just can't put down?

I'm stuck at home for quite a while due to an injury and really need to keep my brain as active as possible! It's been a long time since I've read a book that I just can't put down and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations?

Thanks! Can anyone recommend any 'life changing' books? The sort that you just can't put down?A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth is a truly incredible book - one of the greatest novels of the 20th century. And at over 1,400 pages it's also one of the longest! It follows the lives of several Indian families in the 1950s (i.e. a few years after Partition) as they interact over the course of one year. A simple premise, but the characterisation is phenomenal. It took me months to wade through it (somewhat sporadically, it has to be said) but if you are stuck at home then I sincerely recommend giving it a go.

For a shorter book, still based (initially) in India, try The Impressionist by Hari Kunzru - one of my favourite books. It's about the life of a mixed-race boy born in India in the 1920s and what happens after his illegitimacy is discovered and he is kicked out out of his home town.

Unicorn Road by Martin Davies is a nice simple read; it's a new release and although it's easy to read, it's also got some wonderful storytelling and moves along briskly.

If you haven't read the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman, I heartily recommend them, especially since you'll have time to read all three in a row! The individual novels are Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass, in that order. Technically they're for children, but the themes and concepts are extremely adult and very thought-provoking.

I hope that helps for a start!!Can anyone recommend any 'life changing' books? What was a life-changing moment in your life?

I have a few some positive some negative

    The day my grandmother died.

The day my best friend died.

The day my wife asked for a divorce.

The day I found out I was sterile.

The day my wife said %26quot;yes%26quot; to my proposal.

The day we walked down the isle. What was a life-changing moment in your life? When my best friend tried to rape me.

Another was when I was on crutches and someone tried to push me in front of an oncoming subway train. What was a life-changing moment in your life? When, in my late teens, I passed out from heat exhaustion while painting a house. I was up under the eaves of a 3-story building at the top of a ladder and fell to the ground. Nothing happened to me, except that I woke up in a hospital with a masked face and pair of eyeglasses looking down at me, asking if I knew my name.

I figured at that point, nothing would kill me until my time on earth was done, a point I'd never be able to foresee. Also, after that, I figured every extra day was gravy, no matter how bad it might be.What was a life-changing moment in your life? When I finally got the courage to leave my ex husband. He was abusive and had threatened to kill me if I left.I took the kids and filed for divorce while he was at work. The feeling of excitement that finally something could be good in my life. What was a life-changing moment in your life? When I had an abortion. Afterwards I felt like I murdered my own child, and kharma paid me back for it. I lost all 13 pregnancies my husband and I had together. Then I had to have my uterus removed due to cancer and never was able to have a child. The doctors had no answers as to why my body wouldn't carry a pregnancy to full term. But I know why. What was a life-changing moment in your life? The day my Grandmother died. It resulted in the last time I would ever see any of my mother's family and feel love from them. My cousin (she was like my little sister) was also taken away as a result of this, to live in another state (my uncle was an unfit parent), and I went from seeing her every day to watching her being driven away crying and no one bothering to explain to me at age 9 why she couldn't be my cousin any longer.

The day I realized that my best friend was no longer my best friend. We went from best friends of 12 years to not even aknowledging each other in passing. I realized I was my own person and didn't need to rely on others to enjoy life.

Im changing my life, I want to move to a place where I can spend my life helping other, anyone got any ideas?

Hey guys, I'm fed up with my lifesytle at home (canada) and I always loved doing things for other people, do you guys have any ideas of where i could go to go help people in a 3rd world nation? (prefferably somewhere nice tho :P )

ive saved up 30K$ and figure i could find a way to live sustainably, while helping the community?

    any ideas?

thanks guys!Im changing my life, I want to move to a place where I can spend my life helping other, anyone got any ideas?Try a volunteer organisation like VSO (www.vso.org.uk) who have a network set up. They will find somewhere that suits you and where you can put your skills to best use.

If you're not in the UK, try Google searching for %26quot;volunteer abroad%26quot; or (if you're feeling lazy) try these:

    - http://www.i-to-i.com/Im changing my life, I want to move to a place where I can spend my life helping other, anyone got any ideas? You may want to consider joining a group like the Peace Corp. But there truly is no reason to travel if you want to help people. There is poverty in every nation on the planet. If you want to improve work conditions in 3rd world countries than stop buying products made in countries with poor human rights records, stop buying imported produce from countries that don't pay a living wage, which is basically all of them.

Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?

Do you feel empty or dissatisfied with yourself?

Have you read all the latest self-help books but your life isn檛 changing?

Life holds so much potential. But when we don檛 know who we are any more or what we want, we miss the opportunities for a rich and meaningful life.Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?Yeah, life is doing me and it's not using any lube or taking me out to dinner afterward!

I am not dissatisfied with myself. I AM however dissatisfied with people. I read self help books, but only to give me insight on why other people are such pieces of crap BEFORE they try to be good.

Tell me, what potential does life hold? You can do all you can to become the most amazing at whatever you know how to do, and you are still going to die and you have no clue (most of the time) when this will happen... And before you die, your body will go to crap...

I have learned that knowing yourself and what you want makes ZERO difference in the end. There are way more people out there who don't have a clue on either of those counts. (Believe me I know a bunch...) These unaware (of self) people make it through just fine! Most of them have families and people who love them good or bad. Meanwhile, there are people who find out who they are right away and what they want and can still end up alone and unloved....Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life? How can I find and help myself in someone else's words?Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?life is doing me in my bumholeDo you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?I hate philosophical questions, mainly because I used to ask them like crazy until I went crazy. But I'm back to almost-normal. And I personally think that life is just life. You live. You love. You eventually die.Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life? What you achieve throughout the journey of life is not as important as to who you become.Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?I'm 15 and all I ever think is

    %26quot;Oh don't try this, you can try it later%26quot; or %26quot;don't fall in love, your too young%26quot;

But I get home and I wonder if I will ever get these opportunities presented to me again. I think the problem is that people believe something great and life changing happens later on by it's own, and all we do is wait patiently. But honestly, you need to go and change your life on your own.Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?Hmm, I seem far from that perspective. I shall take the future with my own hands, manifest my dreams into space's time. I will claim my happiness, and construct a medium for others to share in. Abandoning my dream is abandoning my life, and thus there can exist only one patch that I follow. I shall live my life, manifest my dream.Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?No

    No...%26amp;

NoDo you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?I'm most definitely DOING my life; royally up the rear! She's an apathetic recipient. It doesn't affect her nearly as much as does me as she's more of an empty hole that I fill with what I will. S*it in, s*it out. Not her fault; she can't wipe her own a*s.Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?Sometimes I do feel like life is having it's way with me( and without any protection)...but every action I take allows me to get a grip on the situation and puts me back in control.Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?I don't think anyone knows who they are or what they want. Some people are just better at pretending. The journey of self-discovery, or finding what we want, is life. It is those human certainties that is the downfall of our society.Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?are you totally lost?

Get a grip! Have you lost it? you sound like a lost ship in a fog bank.

I am sick of all the self help books, they are printed for a reason! to help people with no hope! dont buy them! Help yourself! write a book yourself!

dig your butt out of the dismal pit you are in and kick some ***! Four years ago I was unemployed and almost broke, well way broke! somehow I got out of it, I had to kick ***, but somehow I did it.

cant tell you how, dont remember, but I remember this, I worked my *** off.

good luck, you will make it.Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?YOU might miss opportunities, but I don't. You can choose your attitude. Choose to be a glass is half full person and the opportunities will make themselves available to you.Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?...being confident and responsible for all my choices and actions sure helps...

...enjoying living life...Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?Life is always toying with us, testing us, teasing us! Sometimes friendly, sometimes indifferent, sometimes almost inimical.

Those who cling to it are hurt most. Just show it that you don't care...it will leave you alone (hopefully!), if you know what I mean!

Self-help books do have some good pointers...but its entirely upto you to interpret them right and make efforts to walk the talk. Your life would definitely change...for better or worse!

You can play with life on your own terms; but in the end life has the last laugh...whatever!Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?Life might be doing me, but you know what? I'm not dead.

I don't read self-help books. I read for entertainment. What do you do for entertainment? Read a GOOD book for once.

Notice butterflies. That's always fun. Too often we regard butterflies as nothing more than pretty moths, but there is something magical in the flight of a butterfly. Spend some time watching one. And then watch the sunset. There's also magic in that as well.

Yeah, Life might be doing me. But that doesn't make the world any less sparkly!Do you feel that life is doing you rather than you doing life?I don't feel life at all, I just sit quietly on the sidelines waiting for the next round to start. With the way the world is right now, life is better lived under the radar. I do what I must, as my Demon Lord directs, but nothing more.

Can you name 3 life changing situations thats you have been thru and how did it change your way of thinking?

    Mine would be:

    1. Hurricane Katrina- Im from New Olreans and i lost everything in that storm. I understand the importance of life and how you shouldnt cherish material things.

    2. When i got a divorce- I didnt know i was such a bad wife until my ex finally open his mouth and my eyes. I think about other feelings before i do things.

    3. When i moved out the housing project- I didnt know that the world had so much to offer. I was stuck in that situation without a choice. From that day forward i wanted to make sure my life had meaning. Can you name 3 life changing situations thats you have been thru and how did it change your way of thinking?Well I can think of more than 3 actually, I was born at 27 wks, fifty some years ago when they didn't have all the neonatal stuff they do now. Was born ' blind' and had other complications which didn't rear their heads until I was an adult. Luckily I had parents who raised me for me and saw the disability as part of me but not defining me. Despite all the obstacles , I finished university, have two degrees ( and they're not conditional degrees , I earned both of em) I've managed to live a happy well adjusted life doing what I want when I want .

Had a near death experience 16 years ago after major surgery and then my mum died a week later in the same hospital in the same room in the same bed. I learned I wasn't done doing what I was supposed to do, even tho I looked like I should be dying.

Last November had a heart attack, my kidneys failed due to a flu virus and dehydration, I nearly died. I am appreciative of my friends and the fact that I am still here and still going and that I had no residual heart or kidney damage. Life is precious and good. Can you name 3 life changing situations thats you have been thru and how did it change your way of thinking?1~ Fostering another persons screwed up kid, she was mentally unstable and in the end made life very dificult, will NEVER do that again.

2~ Having children, made me grow up.

3~ death of a loved one.

Reminds me that life is short. Close all letters to new partner with 7 x's and o's one for each day of the week just in case I dont get to do it tomorrow. Can you name 3 life changing situations thats you have been thru and how did it change your way of thinking?i would say Hurricane Katrina why? becuase it taught me not to only think of my self but other people in need that lost everything

When I got into a fight in middle school and they sent me to an alternative one. When I returned from the alternative school I no longer talked back, hit back, or cared what other people thought or said about me. I am more laid back, I don't like to argue, and I believe in keeping peace.

    2. My mom's divorce. We grew closer and it made me realize how much a person needs to be independent. That you need to be able to take care of yourself and not rely on other people. I'm not saying that when you do meet someone you shouldn't love or be happy, but to not depend on them to make you happy. You should just give support and grow together.

    3. I don't have a third one b/c these are the only two that stand out.

What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become?

Black Sabbath changed my life. Ozzy was unattractive, he wasn't a good singer, and he was unpopular to start with. He had so much energy on stage, and he has been given so much crap, but he never let that change who he really was. I've always had respect for that. What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become?i agree with you about ozzy. what ozzy did for you metallica did for me. i used to go along with the crowd and listen to pop and hip hop but metallica made me branch out. now all i listen to is metal, older rock, and jazz. and believe it or not, metallica has snapped me out of depression before. What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become?Red Hot Chili Peppers. I heard my brother playing %26quot;Dani California%26quot;. I looked into them more, then other bands and it changed my music taste completely. What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become?I really like Casting Crowns. Their songs are so meaningful. Their songs make me feel inspired and closer to God.What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become?Linkin Park. I know that's pretty sad. I don't even listen to them anymore but they got me into my musical obsession and now my life kind of revolves around music.

P.S Check out the band Dead PoeticWhat band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become? The Beatles, John Lennon mostly, really made me think about difficulties and peace in the world. And really, they just made me a whole lot happier. I can't explain it, but no other person can just make me smile.

And John really helped me to learn to ignore any kind of criticism and whatnot. What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become? The Scene Aesthetic. Alot of their songs have just always kind of stuck with me and meant alot to me. It kinda made me realize how music really is because it basically helped me through alot of stuff. What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become?Alice Cooper - i started listening when I was11 %26amp; made me the rock lover I am still today. It is all about not taking stuff too seriously %26amp; %26amp; messing with ppl perspectives. Still listen %26amp; go to his shows. What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become? The devil wears prada...they are a christian screamo group and they are the ones who really got me into god. I believe this is a band that really believes in what they sing and they sing with a meaning...to spread the word of Jesus Christ :-)What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become? The Grateful Dead.

A Dead Head. What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become?Blink 182 changed my life 10 years ago when i was 13. That sounds stupid and I really dont care.

Its like Fisher Price for punk bands. What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become? The Who made me more aware of the life going on around me.. I used to not really pay attention to my surroundings because I thought someone at my age couldn't do anything, then I listened to The Who's angsty tunes and felt so much more raw and powerful. Then, came in teh spirituality, songs like Bargain, See me Feel me, etc. made me feel out of my own world, still does. What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become?i saw the grateful dead 11/18/72 and then went on to see them almost 300 more times. i guess that changed my life.

it made me become a stinking stoner deadhead.....What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become?Nirvana- I dont really know what to say... I guess I just stopped caring what other people thought. I just started saying things and acting like I wanted too. I found out that when I acted like myself and stopped trying to be what everyone else wanted it was like a weight lifted off me. Also I could really relate to what the singer went through in his life, so it kinda made me feel like i could deal with life. What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become?Streetlight Manifesto.

In the 9th grade i was depressed. Down on myself and with an extremely negative outlook on life, i was really doing bad. My friend had a cousin in a band named Foozler, they were a punk band from Madison, Wisconsin. The last song on their CD was entitled Ska Song, the song mentioned bands such as Reel Big Fish, Catch 22, and Less than Jake. From this i found Streetlight Manifesto and i began to love them. Still do. It really helped me. They changed my life. What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become?a band called Vanilla Fudge

    take care

daveWhat band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become? Our Lady Peace

They helped me and opened my mind to alternative music. Actually they were the first alternative band I started listening to. Their lyrics have helped me tremendously. Especially their song %26quot;Innocent%26quot; after I heard that, I just I don't know how to explain it, but I was just genuinely a happier person. The song gives hope, and lets people know that we are all %26quot;Innocent%26quot; and that we are just human. What band had a life-changing effect on you, and what did it make you become? The Beatles!! Every time i hear a song by them, i just gotta smile!! Each Beatles had different views and whatnot, so im not exactly sure what about them changed me, or what they helped me become since they've just kinda been ther for me all my life. I guess that they helped me to be a more musical person, and to be original! :3

Have you ever had a life-changing experience?

Have you ever had a life-channging experience that changed the way you think about yourself, others or the world around you?Have you ever had a life-changing experience?Yep. short and simpleHave you ever had a life-changing experience?i went to india, and you can just say, i know im lucky because there are homeless people in the world and i have a good life, but when you actually see it up close, the dying people, its terrible. i mean we had a van to drive in, and sometimes when we stopped there would be people begging for food with their dying babies who were crying. it really made me realize how lucky it is to live in america. you wouldnt even know the worst from me telling you this.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?Yes, there was this one thing that happened to me which caused me to think of myself as a father. It was probably when my son was born.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?Yes, when I disected the fetal pigs in school, I decided to be a vegitarinan. It really changed the way I saw meat.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?Yes, losing use of a limb made me realize work is not the end-all be-all, no matter how much I like working.

    People matter.

I took to heart the saying that no one on their death bed says they wish they spent more time at the office.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?yep!! ichanneled a womans husband. all fear melted away. i was enveloped in pure love or spirit. i cant wait to do it againHave you ever had a life-changing experience? All the time, at least once a week.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?Yes, the day I was accepted into Medical School changed my life 4ever!Have you ever had a life-changing experience?Yeah. I was a passenger in a car crash. I broke my neck and my back. I can still walk and function and am grateful every day.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?Yes. I was raped at 14. I thought it was like the worst day of my life and that everyone was going to look at me different and treat me different. I was afraid to see my parents, the school guidance counselor told them while i was in a different room with my friends. I'm the baby of my family so I was scared to face anyone and I didn't know how they would treat me. Then, when word got out at school I had people telling me to go kill myself b/c they didn't believe me but then I also had some people standing up for me that I would have never thought would. It made me stronger, I got on with school after a 6 month period of being extremely depressed and smoking pot and drinking. It just showed me that I can take anything life throws at me and it will just make me stronger, it also showed me that there are some cruel and caring people around me and that the world is such a dangerous place, it scares me so watch the news and see what these people are actually like.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?Defiently. 15 months ago I gave birth to my 3rd child. he dies shortly after his birth. And it was and is so very painful but I didnt just lose, I gained to. At 5 months they told me he had Trisomy 13 and wouldnt make it to term. They wanted me to abort but I went to term. My little guy was such a brave fighter. I learned how unconditional a mothers love truley is. He had many severe deformities, I knew my lil boy wouldnt have eyes, I just didnt know what that would look like. I wasnt sure if I could hold him but when he was born and layed on my chest, it didnt even matter, I was so in love, all I wanted was his life. He's shown me how strong I am and to honor what he taught me I try to be brave no matter how scared I am. For such a tiny little life, he has moved major mountains. He's an incredible angel.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?so many that i can't count, every time i screw something up it's a life changing experience.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?Yes

I had a real hard %26quot;doodie%26quot; about 15 minutes ago. My a-s-s is torn real bad, and bleeding through my tightie-whitie undies.

I really miss the days of soft poops and gentle sitting down, on a cushion more like a cloud.

Now I have an angry angry ********** and its driving me insane.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?A few years ago I had a crappy job in a sawmill stacking 100-300 pound pieces of wood all day long for just a little above minimum wage. Things were just getting worse and worse. We had a half hour for lunch everyday and I had forgotten to pack mine that day so I rushed about five miles down the road to the nearest store. It was a shabby convenience store and the only thing I could find to eat was a ham and cheese sub wrapped in plastic from the cooler. I bought it and tried to eat it quickly on the drive back to work. The sandich looked pretty good but about three bites in I realized it was almost all bread, dry bread. I was finishing it as I got out of my car to go back to work and the last bite stuck in my throat. typically when this happens I take a drink of something and it washes right down. Not this time, all that dry bread swelled up and I couldn't breathe at all. The other guys I worked with were about thirty yards away finishing their lunches. I started to go over to ask for help and realized that those faces were not the last thing I wanted to see in this world. So, not having any oxygen for almost a minute now I just gave up and turned the radio up(Jimi Hendrix was playing Little Wing) and leaned back in my seat and waited to die.

My throat must have relaxed when I did, because before I knew it the blockage in my throat just slipped down. I've tried to look at every moment of life as a gift since then.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?I have throughout the past years (probably six or so) been growing closer to God and He's changing the way I think. If you haven't done so, I encourage you to. Just ask for forgiveness from sin and make Him Lord of your life.

    God bless,

    Crazybout_ChristHave you ever had a life-changing experience?yep pregnancyHave you ever had a life-changing experience?YES!!!Have you ever had a life-changing experience?yes.

and it made all the minor experiences (good or bad) worth it.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?NopeHave you ever had a life-changing experience?yes. graduating boot campHave you ever had a life-changing experience? My life changing experience was facing the biggest worry in my life, and that was the worry of daughter being suspected of having a tumour in her neck at age 5. It sent me into four years of total physical and mental breakdown. Even though the tumour was ruled out. That actual shock of knowing that I might lose her was enough to do incredible things to my mind and body. Now after 6 years I still remember that day I saw the look on my doctors face when he told me what we might be looking for. What followed were at least two years of Hell, Anxiety so bad that I could not even feed myself, lift my head off the bed. Then the depression set in, deep, dark, suicidal depression, where I ended up counting the hours, the minutes, the seconds to try and get through just one day. I got as low as thinking that there was no way I could live any more, and even worse, considering taking my childs life so she could be with me. THAT IS MY LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE. If anyone could feel just a small bit of that pain for one minute in their life, then we would all live much happier.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?Great question with a lot of thoughtful answers and a few knuckle heads who I guess have been blessed or unlucky enough to have not really experienced anything of any real substance in life.

That said, for me, I worked on the 107th floor of tower 1- the first one that was hit. I was, as usual, late and therefore my life was spared. I lost lots of friends, co-workers, and customers that I used to wait on. That day changed the course for the rest of my life- some for the better and some for the worse.

    I am thankful to be here and I consider every day I'm still here a blessing.Have you ever had a life-changing experience?Yes. Do you want details?Have you ever had a life-changing experience?yea i hav.................. when i bjurgfbwygrfyg54gsy45w7s

Whats the next step in changing my life?

    For the better...off course.

Im starting to speak my mind...and it feels great because all your answers are closed...and you understand more...ex:I asked my dad why did they %26quot;my parents%26quot; want me to get a good score on the SAT...so I asked why...then he said that More Money will be given to me...then I was like OHHHHH...and im not loser if thats what your thinking!!!!
