Falun Gong is a unique Buddhist School. Falun Gong is based upon the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. Falun Gong consists of five sets of powerful exercises.

Falun Gong, Tibetans, other Buddhists, and Christians have been persecuted in China. The most offensive human right violation is the organ harvesting from the Falun Gong practitioners in China.

her book %26quot;when things fall apart%26quot; was very helpful to me

***although actually i dont even practice in her tradition! : )

ive been doing vipassana in the goenka school (dhamma.org)

and he has also written some books which are ok but really its better to just do the retreat***

but her book is full of great advice, regardless of what you practice or believe.

also i hear that %26quot;mindfulness in plain english%26quot; is a very good book, its by bahnte g.

oh and Thich Nhat Hahn is a great writer also!

my first meditation book was zen flesh zen bones. i still like its little stories, but it does not have a lot of meditation advice.

there are a lot of good books in general... a ton really

go to the library or bookstore and look around , you will find something that resonates with you!

in general though, i think you have to do a retreat or class to really learn to meditate. a book is ok but its not the same at all.)

all of these writers are part of traditions/schools which also offer retreats and classes. .. they are all good! ( im partial to my organization, the meditation is great but i chose it partly just because its free! hahah)

best of luck to you!
