What's a spectacular maybe even life-changing novel to read for a grade nine oral book report?

Ok so I'm looking for something unique, not too long (350pages and under) and that is a really really good book. I like sci-fi, drama and mystery. I'm looking for something recent, if it's really old, that's ok, but it has to be really good.

-thanks =)What%26#039;s a spectacular maybe even life-changing novel to read for a grade nine oral book report?Requiem for a dream. It's a heavy subject, but it's a life changing book. It's one of the only books where I truly felt strong emotions for the characters. Or you can try Fight Club, it's a great book and a good movie. It is pretty life changing, and it's a complete mind trip, especially at the end.What%26#039;s a spectacular maybe even life-changing novel to read for a grade nine oral book report?the twilight saga was awesome it will be a good report.What%26#039;s a spectacular maybe even life-changing novel to read for a grade nine oral book report?swallows of kabul, its not one of those genres but its a fantastic eye opening book, so is a thousand splendid suns, you should definitely read them. they are meant for older readers but im in 8th grade and i loved themWhat%26#039;s a spectacular maybe even life-changing novel to read for a grade nine oral book report?Cirque Du Freak or the Demonata

Both by Darren Shan

Cirque Du Freak is a vampire book, about a young boy, Darren Shan, who goes to a Freak show called the Cirque Du Freak, and then gets turned into a vampire, it's like a whole series, and you really have to read the whole thing to understand how great it is.

Demonata is a book about demons, magic, and werewolves, and it's extremely amazing, its books go back and forth between three different main characters, and I haven't read the last of the books yet since the series is still in progress, but so far it is very good.

i thought id hate it but its one of the best books ive read so farWhat%26#039;s a spectacular maybe even life-changing novel to read for a grade nine oral book report?Run for Your Life by James Patterson is an excellent mystery novel. A sci-fi is Ender's Game and Speaker of the Dead by Orson Card. A fantasy would be the Chronicles of Narnia (beware it does contain a lot of religious symbolism). A drama would be Three Tall Women by Edward Albee. 13 REASONS WHY BY JAY ASHER IS AMAZING I CRIED A LITTLE. you could do a lot with the last since it relates to teens and suicide.

But the best is. . .

A Walk to Remember! It's a romance, but TRUST ME it will not disappoint!!!!!!!

This is a beautiful, romantic, heartwarming story that will sure to leave you crying at the end. But as the author states in his preface - %26quot;you have been forewarned%26quot;. I read many fiction books. At least one a week usually. I read this one three years ago and has stuck in my mind. It's a story you'll never let go of.

This book will tear at your heartstrings and will linger with you for days after you've finished when you try to go to sleep. I could not put this book down and read it in one day. I was immediately captivated and transported into Landon Carter's world in the late 1950's. Landon does an incredible amount of %26quot;growing up%26quot; during his seventeenth year of life. The minister's daughter, Jamie Sullivan, helps him to transform from a selfish, self-absorbed %26quot;kid%26quot;, to a young adult on the verge of manhood. Landon conveys traits of tenderness, and compassion, and learns about love and faith and how to forgive, while his love blossoms for Jamie. Jamie is able to bring out all that is pure and good from Landon. It is this innocent love that is all consuming that helps to foster Landon's growth and wisdom.

Jamie may be portrayed in the book as a %26quot;goodie two-shoes%26quot;, but her innocence, her unnerving faith and trying to live her life as God wanted us all to live, endears her to the reader.

The book may be predictable in parts, but that does not deter from the beauty of this story. In the conclusion, Landon realizes what love is and what it really means to love another by helping your love's dream become a reality. Landon's heart softens when he lets his true nature come through and shine - and shine it does. Epitome of true love - most definitely! With Landon's transformation complete, the reader is completely absorbed with these two main characters. You can't help but fall in love with them.

I absolutely love this book and recommend it heartily. This is a must read kind of book that can't help but uplift you as well. Just keep your kleenex handy!What%26#039;s a spectacular maybe even life-changing novel to read for a grade nine oral book report?its not sci-fi but a child called it is a really great book its nonfiction and its about this kid that was abused as a child and what his mom did to him and its really sad because she tortured him

It's about a guy named Clay who gets these tapes in the mail about why a girl named Hannah killed herself. It's very good and a great page-turner!

Go Ask Alice by Anonymous. This books is a real life diary from a teenager who had a major drug addiction. It's very insightful and kind of scary actually. It's a book that all mature teens should me exposed too though! I highly recommend it!

Good luck with finding a book! I hope these help!What%26#039;s a spectacular maybe even life-changing novel to read for a grade nine oral book report? The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. It's amazing!! And not very long.What%26#039;s a spectacular maybe even life-changing novel to read for a grade nine oral book report?Jack London's book %26quot;To Build a Fire%26quot; is a short, classic that would be ideal for someone your age....yeah, it's old.....but it most excellent.

This is such a great story that it often required reading in high school, and is also an option for college literature class discussion. It makes you think of how we are in charge of our own destiny by the choices we make in life.

Good luck and remember when you are giving your oral report, to stand up straight, speak normally...not too fast, and make eye contact with your audience. Good Luck!!!What%26#039;s a spectacular maybe even life-changing novel to read for a grade nine oral book report?Try The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

but read it keeping this in mind:

CS Lewis wrote this book for his goddaughter, Lucy. He wrote it kind of as a %26quot;retelling%26quot; or %26quot;symbol%26quot; of the bible, but just in a way that he thought his young goddaughter could understand since the bible is very confusing. This book (the entire series) is full of biblical symbolism. He worked on it for a very long time. . . . so long that the young lady was all grown up before the book was finished!

You could do an awesome book report on this, exploring some of the more obvious and less obvious symbols. The book is a quick read and very descriptive. It would be very impressive to bring in the symbolism.

There's an entire series - the Chronicles of Narnia - that you could read if you're wanting more. I would advise you to read them in the order written, not chronologically. It will make more sense this way. My personal favorite is the last book - The Last Battle. It's a great story for story's sake but an amazing book when you are open to the symbolism used. You will have to read the entire series, though, to understand the last book.

Good luck on your report!What%26#039;s a spectacular maybe even life-changing novel to read for a grade nine oral book report?King Rat by James ClavellWhat%26#039;s a spectacular maybe even life-changing novel to read for a grade nine oral book report?A Walk to Remember!
